Brilliant Bill.
Must be up there with my most favourite piece of music and really well done.
I saw a flash mob do a song and dance at Liverpool St station once. Must be on Youtube somewhere.

Re: Flashmob for Friday
Bit surprising at the time though!
I was passing through on my way elsewhere but it really made my day.
The Beethoven 9th is an all time fav. I spent about 5 years listening almost exclusively to classical music and became a bit of a junkie for it.
I saw the Lipzieg (spelling?) Gavanthaus orchestra backed by the full (200+) BBC choir do this symphony at the South Bank complete with 4 encores. That's perhaps close on 300 musicians playing to a packed audience of perhaps 3000. It was also about a week before Christmas.
Absolutely spellbinding - audience on its feet - still sets the hairs on the back of my neck standing.
I've been to many rock and indie gigs, but pressed for one that will live with me forever, that evening would be in the top three.
If you ever get a chance to hear this symphony with the full orchestra - go for it.
