Crying is correct. And it was Don McLean who did the cover version in the early 80s. As Wolfie pointed out, there was a clue in my last post where I quoted the first two lines of American Pie.

Back to business; I looked at several songs and found that they did not chart in the UK. this one did, however.

Steve, no there isn’t although I have been known to dream about a song.

Twenty years ago, I had to stay with my dear, lovely ( but now late ) mum for eight weeks, after she had had a fall and broken her right arm.

Unfortunately, she only listened to Radio 2 and as I didn’t even possess such a thing as a walkman then, I was subjected to some ‘ not my type music ‘.

Hence, it wasn’t long before, deprived of hearing rock music, I would occasionally dream of hearing the opening lyrics of Metallica’s Fuel, over and over again. It was weird.
