We have had several songs by this artist on this thread, including at least one that has been presented twice. [-X

Did someone say "oldie"?

If the band slows down, we'll yell for more.

It's an interesting little song in that there aren't many lyrics to choose from that won't nearly outright give it away, so I'll offer the following hints:

Originally released as a B-side song in 1954 - reached #1 in the US, UK & Germany in 1955.

Hey, somebody said "oldie"! :)

Thanks for the hint, Ron. I was originally thinking a decade or two earlier. #-o

Great video. In black and white, even. :D

You got it, Peter! And that is a nice video. Though not technically correct, the song is widely thought of as the harbinger of Rock 'n Roll music.

Your turn!

Thanks for encouraging my oldies infatuation.

This is slightly newer:

Could never move that way"

That's making me think of an Eagle's tune, but haven't pinned it down yet...

Whoa, I thought you pinned down butterflies rather than eagles.

Anywho, the tune is not by the Eagles.

It's something by Stevie Wonder I think - don't know the names of most of his tracks(and don't want to either :D ) - Happy Birthday?

Paul G

That’s the limit of my Stevie Wonder knowledge - nicely set up for someone else to close the deal :D

Looks like theirs no takers - which means at least a couple will be kicking themselves when I say it was "Lately" by Stevie Wonder

So, here's another one (70's this time)..

Running in the shadows, damn your love, damn your lies

Don't know that I know the song "Lately", so no kicking today. [-X

The new one sounds like "The Chain" (I think that is the title) by Fleetwood Mac.

That would be correct Peter. Amazed that you don't know Lately by Stevie Wonder though...!
