You will. This was a big hit with 2 separate artists (one mega-international and the other probably more just UK/EU with the follow up version)Wolfmiester wrote: ↑Fri Dec 07, 2018 8:07 am I know I'll be kicking myself... but can't drag it from the back of mind...

Re: Name that tune
It's those pesky internet gremlins again. Still, all the while they are bugging you my dear Plummy, they are leaving me alone.
After being subjected to the usual commercial ghastlyfest of Christmas music, which always sends my Herbert Lom twitch into overdrive, this is the only Christmas song that I have ever liked. Should be easy:
But instead it just kept on raining

More clues:
They said there'll be snow at Christmas
They said there'll be peace on earth
Two weeks ago, at our Cricket Club's Christmas Fair, I was helping children write their letters to Father Christmas. All the children had one thing in common - the title of this song.

You got it, Plummy!
I did a search after posting and saw that it had been used before (2016, I think), but at least I used different lyrics... lol

Thank you Plummy.
In case there are a few sore heads out there this morning ... I'm not going to say, " This should be easy. "
I'd like to be under the sea
A Very Happy New Year to one and all.

Re: Name that tune
Jill, the best remedy for "sore heads" is to eat grilled octopus. It does not matter if they are caught in the sea or picked from the garden.
All we had to drink yesterday was wine with dinner, and that hardly counts.
Octopus' Garden.
(And it's made in the shade!)
(Is that an expression in England?)

Re: Name that tune
Well done Peter.
As for the hangover cure, every octopoda, would prefer we stick to soda.
During the summer, I can pick an octopus from our garden - Campanula Pink Octopus.
I have not heard the expression ‘ it’s made in the shade ‘ before but according to google , ( so might be inaccurate ) “ it is a condition characterised by comfort, success and general well-being “
Another google explanation, possibly from a children's rhyme:
Ice cold lemonade, made in the shade, stirred with a spade, by an old maid
Happy New Year and Good Health to you both.
