Spot on Paul. I’ve really enjoyed my kids discovering stuff like Eminem. They’re always really surprised to find Mammy has a CD or two tucked away.

Off you go then. What can you hit us with this time?

Sounds like Dead or Alive's "Spin Me Right Round" (or similar), but I can't swear to it...

Thanks, Paul - I'm definitely a child of the 80's... :) I didn't have the title quite right, but pretty close and also named the band, so I don't feel too bad about taking a turn...

Board Search says this one hasn't been teed up yet... let's give 'er a try!

Here is my problem:

I immediately knew the next line is "But if you have a nickel won't you put your money down". Actually, it is "lay" not put", but, as Ron said, close enough.

I thought the title was Down on the Bayou, but when I went to check, I found out I went down to the wrong place! Google told me I could go to the corner or be born on the bayou. There is a song entitled Born on the Bayou, but that one is quite different from Ron's.

So, the question is, not searching for the lyrics on Google, but discovering the actual title through a different google search, am I in violation of the rules and ineligible to name this one?

As an aside, observing sports, politics, and driving, there do not appear to be rules any longer. :(

The song title that immediately springs to mind (although I’m almost certain it’s incorrect) is Penny Arcade by Roy Orbison.

I'm not the official ref, but I'm gonna give it to you. All the clues, including the actual words, to name the tune are in your post, and you obviously are fully aware of the song if not fully in control of your faculties....

The song is "Down on the Corner" by CCR

Take it away, Peter!

Thanks Ron. There have been no protests or video reviews, so I guess it is official.

I was unable to search for this, but I do not remember it being used. However, I may be wrong :^o, since I am

By now, I am not sure more lyrics will help, but here goes.

"I woke up in a Soho doorway
A policeman knew my name
He said, 'You can go sleep at home tonight
If you can get up and walk away.'"

I imagine there is someone out there who knows who sang this song. If so, who are you?

I think there was a song by The Who called Who Are You. Your hints would appear to be pointing in that direction although I can’t in all conscience say that I remember the song, other than the chorus.

Thanks Paul, I was worried that I would have to repost my last clue with Capital Letters and additional fonts.

Fortunately, I did not have to resort to posting the chorus:

Who are you? Who, who, who, who?
Who are you? Who, who, who, who?
Who are you? Who, who, who, who?
Who are you? Who, who, who, who?
