I haven't searched if we've had this song before so apologies if it's a repeat...

A singer in a smoky room
A smell of wine and cheap perfume
60 yrs old, 82kg, 5' 10"
43Mm metres rowed. Re-setting the bar much lower now. Getting too old and brittle for this malarky

Another line, perhaps?

Put away the crack before the crack puts you away,
You need to be there when your baby's old enough to relate

Still no takers?

It is "Musclebound" by Spandau Ballet.

Another one- hopefully easier:

Just to get a glimpse beyond this illusion"

Thanks, Paul, for getting this (partially) stuck in my head! #-o

I have finally come up with Carry On My Wayward Son.

If that is correct, I guess I will have peace when it is done.

Right you are Peter - lay your weary head to rest , don’t cry no more, and come up with a tune🤗🤗

Plummy, I am always very correct ... and right.

Decisions. Decisions.

I made a list of British artists who had taken the stairway to heaven and George Michael was at the top, so I'll go for him.

It's actually name that tune, Jill.

But I agree that it sounds a lot more like George Michael than David Bowie. Might it be A Different Corner by any chance?
