I don't know the song from the lyrics. Just wanted to say hi Graham, nice to see you.

It's Songbird, by Fleetwood Mac?
Took me quite a while to get to the title, knew it was Fleetwood Mac.

For the next one I chose a non-English language worldwide hit (and don't worry Plummy, it's not Dutch ):
Ich lieb' dich nicht, du liebst mich nicht

Next verse:
If I lay here
If I just lay here
Would you lie with me
And just forget the world
Biggest selling single for the group ( stating their nationality might be a clue too far ) and it gained significant popularity in the US after featuring in the medical drama, Grey's Anatomy.

Chasing Cars. Not sure why I didn't recognise the first verse.

Chasing Cars it is Paul. That's usually my problem, not recognising lyrics that should be familiar to me.Paul Victory wrote: ↑Sun Mar 11, 2018 1:12 am Chasing Cars. Not sure why I didn't recognise the first verse.
When I'm struggling to hold, what is for me, a fast pace, I always find the last 90 seconds ( instrumental ) of Snow Patrol's Open Your Eyes a great " Come on! Come On! " piece of music.
Your turn.

Re: Name that tune
Back when I was erging a lot, and hopefully in the future, I had CD's burnt of particular time periods to match the piece I wanted.
A lot of the harder ones (i.e. anything above a warm up) ended with Green Days' "Ha ha, you're dead".
Fast piece and pretty much how I felt in that last 2 minutes!
However, can't say I'm a Snow Patrol fan, so I'm glad somebody else got that one.

Re: Name that tune
The Big O is correct. All we need now is the song title.

Re: Name that tune
Off topic a bit (because I still don't know).
There used to be a thread about songs for a rowing playlist.
Still around and I can resurrect or start a new one?

You are welcome to resurrect any thread. Often that is better than starting a new one anyway.

Re: Name that tune
Paul, I’ve had help from the Underwood boys ( Ian calling in for a cup of tea was good timing ) who have given me the title of some Roy Orbison songs. Guessing here but the only one that I think might fit the lyric is Penny Arcade?Paul Victory wrote: ↑Tue Mar 13, 2018 8:21 pm The Big O is correct. All we need now is the song title.
