Quick like a bunny - you got it, Zoot! :)

Told you it was tenuous (i.e. not the same Kent).

I think I've entered an alternate universe. I've never heard of Devo, just about heard of Warren Zevon and I haven't a clue about the latest one, although I did see the original The Day The Earth Stood Still, starring Michael Rennie. Much better than the remake with Keanu Reeves.

Sorry Paul. A misspent youth.

The song was "Science Fiction/Double Feature" from the soundtrack to the 1975 cult classic "Rocky Horror Picture Show". I would have accepted any of the above. It is one of those songs that you either know or don't... most likely because you have spent many Saturday nights at the downtown cinema watching it with your friends or because you sing along with the soundtrack at the top of your lungs while driving cross-country.

Maybe both.

I've seen the Rocky Horror Picture Show, but I only remember bits of it. I sing a few Meatloaf songs when I'm doing karaoke, so I always remember him driving his bike up the stairs before being butchered. What was the name of the song he sang - Hot Patootie?

Yep. "Hot Patootie - Bless My Soul".

By the way, Paulgould's clue was:

"You think you're so clever, and classless and free"

... but I don't think "The times they are a changin'?" is correct. (Could be wrong though.) Sounds like Billy Joel, to me, but I don't think that's right either.

I don't think it's right either, but the words fit the cadence of the lines immediately preceding the line "for the times they are a changin'"

I know quite a few Billy Joel songs and I don't recognise the lyrics, but I guess it could be him.

Not Dylan or Billy Joel -the song was covered by a 60's icon.

Thought it was a pretty well known song and someone would get it within 5 minutes.

Anyway, it is "Working Class Hero".

Dave, you got the artist so you should go next.
