Well done Jason - it takes a lot of courage to face down your demons and to seek the necessary help.

And it's good to have you back in FS, where you belong!

Jason mate, I have been there and know a little of what you are going through I suspect.

Counselling can throw a whole new light on things, it did for me :D

We are all good friends here and I am sure that you will continue to go from strength to strength.

See you at the races :D

Jason, so many people could benefit from counselling yet never gather the courage to take the first step. Well done on taking the first step - it is really huge.

Wishing you all the best as you clean out the "baggage" closet.

Jason - it takes a big man to admit his problems, but a bigger man to sort them out. I'm sure things will work themselves out just fine in the next couple of months. As long as you and your loved ones are happy then you'll be able to take anything the world has to throw at you.

Take care mate.

Cheers, Si

It is not an easy path that you walk. Things that are worthwhile are seldom easy. Best wishes with working these things out.

For me exercise has long been a big part of keeping me in balance... and some long lonely rows can provide great time to think things through.

Thanks Jonathan and Peter. :)
Just had my 3rd session and the "light bulb" moments are coming thick and fast. 8)
I believe that my recent good form has been down to a more positive approach, and a more positive outlook on life.It is absolutely amazing how much "baggage" we carry with us through our lives and how much of it is handed down from generation to generation.
All i can do know is look forward to the future of my family and there happiness.

Yesterday was a bad day.......left work 15:15 from London Bridge area of the city & got a train, very short journey, but it took an hour. Got to the car for 13 mile journey home........................arrived home at 21:30...Over 6 hours after leaving the office - Not happy! The snow, the ice, the motorists - HORRID. On route to the train station, stopped and got some bread.......yes ate that in the car!

Today though a good day....snowed in, 10-12 inches of the stuff :) ......so plenty of time today to catch up on Free Spirits :) and some rowing

My MD and his wife are based in Kent also Michelle. When she rang me to advise she'd finally made it to the office she said she'd had another 8 inches last night also (I wasn't sure how to respond to that!!)

Same as Scoop. I've been out for a couple of days and heard it on the news yesterday and wondered if your position would be affected - never a nice feeling when that sort of thing is going on as you never know when it will end. Hope your job is safe.

Successive Governments have done an excellent job of killing off all our major manufacturing industries (cars, ships, coal, steel, aerospace, etc etc)

Ditto. I hope that things turn out ok.
I agree with Dave about successive governments over at least the last 30 years relentlessly eroding all of our major manufacturing industries.

I understand the need for fiscal restraint, but it sure seems like there should be a better way than by killing off the industries that make a country strong... Hope this works out for you, Jason.

Yesterday was a tough and emotional day.

It was the funeral of a very dear friend and colleague of 17 years, he had a long and hard battle with cancer, a battle he fought very hard, a recent chest infection however got the better of him and he simply wasnt strong enough to fight any more.

It was a testimony to his character that colleagues travelled from all over the country to pay their respects.

My thoughts are with his family
