2012/2013 fantasy football

Post by Stan »

The football season is about to commence again so instead of watching displays of superb sportsmanship and endeavour like we have witnessed over the last 2 weeks of the olympics we are back to petulance, play acting and poor sportsmanship. Naturally we all know better than the muppet in charge of our favourite clubs and this is the perfect opportunity to prove it, or alternatively you can just blow a hundred million  .
The website is:

and the code for the freespirits league is:

Good luck everyone

Thanks Stan, I think I'm in.

If my boys win or draw at Man City this weekend, what's the bet?

10k either way?

Never played this before, but I'm in.

Tried to fill my squad with only Scottish players. Alas, there are no Scottish goalies and only one two Scottish forwards as far as I could see. Oh well.

Alan, given the way that international teams work, have you checked the grandfathers, grandmothers, great uncles, god parents etc?

have you checked that none of them has visited Scotland or even eaten a Scotch egg, any of which would qualify them.

Indeed I did Mr Zoot.

Loser has to do 10k on the steel horse.

Or perhaps 10k per goal conceded?

Disappointed by the result as we thought that a draw was available.

Pleased that we did as weel as we did with a team that is very different from last season. bearing in mind we had a 17 year old on his debut and our best striker yet to come in, it gives me some hope.

First of the 10k's tonight though

I think it showed Southampton are not going to be the walkover everybody thinks they will be. All credit to them for making a great fight of it. I wonder how different the game would have been if Silva had struck that penalty though.
