Embarrassing moments

Post by webberg »

Don't be shy.

have you had moments when you just wished the floor would swallow you up?

Many years ago, I took my kids, then 2 and 4, to see grandma. The trip was relatively short but delayed by a Sunday driver.

Grandma gets home from church (she was the organist).

Eldest son says "Sorry we're late grandma but we followed the biggest ar$ehole in Hampshire on the way here!"

Whoops

Hadn't been in the UK long, when we went round to a mate's house for a BBQ.
On walking in, I announced loudly a milestone - that morning I'd told my first Jehovah's Witness in the UK to f.. off.
At this point my mate introduced me to the woman sitting on the sofa - "Paul, I'd like you to meet my mother, and by the way she is a Jehovah's Witness".
