We've had the plumber but not the electrician.

Thank you Philip, I was half right, or perhaps, I was half wrong.

We have also recently had a plumber and next month it will be an electrician and a carpenter.

Paul, time to dig out your John Travolta medallion and disco trousers. :fswink:

Let's Dance - A Bridesmaid's Perspective

You don't have to be Lord of The Dance
You can ' cancan ' ' cha-cha ' or just prance
Be funny. Be flirty
And I'll think you're still thirty
Take my hand and we'll both take a chance \:D/  :fswink:

Thanks Jill.

Your advice is as usual, great
But I think that I ought to be straight
And warn all these girls
That one of my whirls
Might spin them right out of the gate

Let's Dance. Another Bridesmaid ... Another Perspective ...

When Paul has that gleam in his eye
Resistance? No point. So don’t try
I know what’s in store
As we hit the dance floor
I'll whirl past as you wave me bye-bye   :fswink:

Window cleaning's a tedious chore
But a task you can simply ignore
Since the layer of grime
With the passing of time
Builds up to a point.......then no more

Over there in the U. S. of A.
The people have now shown the way
Clinton's been trumped
Former certainties dumped
Whatever's in store, who can say :?:

It's really a shambles alright
When I heard, it gave me quite a fright
It's really quite sad
That the world's gone so mad
And we're facing a terrible plight

Christmas preparations

The consumption of caviar and Bolly
May be deemed an extravagant folly
But whatever you think
As you toil at the sink
With your family and friends you'll be jolly

Wishing all FS the compliments of the season,

The year twenty seventeen is now dawning
As I wish all FS a good morning
We may ponder en masse
What may come to pass
And there won't be a government health warning

Whether it's a.m. or p.m.
Remember the phrase "carpe diem"
If your future's at stake
You'll just have to take
Opportunities just when you see 'em

Never has the old Chinese curse "May you live in interesting times" been more apt.

Darts is a game played by men
Who drink beer and weigh more than Big Ben
But once on the oche
They're as deft as a jockey
Scoring seventy plus a hundred and ten

Over the next 12 months I'll be posting a series of limericks which take a tongue in cheek look at
birth signs. So keep an eye out for yours

Aries: March 21 – April 20

If you're Aries, your sign is the Ram
Independent and don't give a damn
Courageous and bold
And cannot be told
That you might even fail an exam

I'm sorry but I have to say
That it's time that I called it a day
I'm calling it quits
Cos my back is in bits
But I hope you will all be OK

Well done Peter!

Sorry, not all that funny, but I just couldn't resist it after a couple of glasses of wine last night. I was wondering how long it would take someone to figure it out.

I just hope it doesn't prove to be prophetic! [-o<

Paul, I think that you must have had more than a couple of glasses. [-X

The rules clearly state that April Fool jokes only apply until midday. After that ...

I'm very glad that you're not really leaving. :D xxxx

Jill, I wasn't keeping count, so you might well be right!

And I accept your admonition for breaching the timing protocol. #-o [-X

I had just read an article summarising some of the April Fool's jokes that were published that day and I then logged onto our website and saw Philip's post and one thing led to another.

The Irish Times published this article http://www.irishtimes.com/news/ireland/ ... -1.3032003 about a famous Dublin landmark.

Taurus: April 21 - May 20

We slipped through the paddock where Taurus
The bull lived, fearing if he saw us
He'd be sure to give chase
So we strode through apace
Concerned that he might gore and paw us
