Homage to our Nonathlon maestro
Hey, Bangers, how come you're so good
We train hard, we eat the right food
But try as we might
You breeze past out of sight
Good on ya, mate; you're a cool dude =D> =D> =D>

When you're worn out by digging the weeds
Can't bend over to plant any seeds
Then relax with a Coke
And employ a young bloke
To attend to your gardening needs

I collect two hundred pounds

A new slant on an old nursery rhyme:
Humpty Dumpty scaled many a wall
But he never expected to fall
Until after a fling
In a bar near Beijing
He encountered the Wall of them All

When our cat waltzes into the kitchen
Tail goes up and the nose starts a-twitchin'
His favourite treat
Is raw kangaroo meat
Forget about Whiskas or chicken

In the UK Kangaroo meat is rare
And of Joeys there are none to spare
I have a new pup
And he likes to sup
On fresh sheep poo in our field so there!

Re: An Extra Limerick
I wondered if it would be possible to write a limerick
conforming to all the normal rules, but with the added
constraint of having the initial letters of each word running
in alphabetical order and yet still more or less make sense.
This is the result:
A Birmingham City devotee
Enjoyed football gladiatorially
He injured joints, knees,
Leg muscles; nurse, oh please,
Quickly restore sanity.

Re: An Extra Limerick
Thanks for that, Paul.
I very much enjoyed your contribution.
I am working on more of these "alphabet" limericks and hope to
get them completed when sufficient inspiration takes hold.

A warm welcome to Twenty Thirteen
You're feeling relaxed and serene
But that midriff is bulging
You've been over-indulging
So get back on that rowing machine

So get back on that rowing machine

Re: An Extra Limerick
I posted an "alphabet" limerick last November and indicated that
I would be working on some more. Here is the second of the series:
A bank can do easement financial,
Give homeowners income judicial,
Keep low maintenance norms,
Offset pecuniary qualms,
Resolve situations tangential.

Although, being contrary, despite every friend's good help, I just kissed lovely mademoiselles, never once pretending, quite rightly, such terms under veracity, while x-rated youngsters zoom.

Apprehensive, because colleagues do enjoy figuring generally humorous, inventive, jolly kind limericks, my next offering perhaps quietens regular surreptitious thread undermining? Vexing, wouldn't Xerxes zay?

Re: An Extra Limerick
Following on from my post of last September, here's another new slant on another old nursery rhyme:
When the spider sat by her one day
The forthright Miss Muffet did say:
“I'd rather the birds
Ate all of my curds;
They're not for you, spider, no whey ”
When the spider sat by her one day

“I'd rather the birds
Ate all of my curds;
They're not for you, spider, no whey ”
