The sky will never be safe again

Post by thornmaster »

After nearly ten years of waiting and working for four different companies I have finally been given the chance to go on an aerodrome course to become an air traffic controller. It will mean lots of hard studying and I may have to miss out on the BIRC, but I'm really looking forward to it.

Congratulations on being selected Thornmaster =D> =D> I think they're pretty fussy about who they take. The husband of a girl who used to work for me did it and I know he was very happy with his new career choice.

I'm sure the skies will be perfectly safe with you looking after them (maybe change the title of the thread? [-o< )

I must admit that I clicked on this thread with some trepidation given today's date [-o< , but was pretty relieved to read of your new career choice

All the very best, and I'm sure that the hard work will be rewarded by a great new career :D

Well done! I'm so pleased for you. It is lovely when plans and dreams start to fall into place, particularly when there has been such a long lead time. Bravo, Tango Mike. =D>

One of my close neighbours (2 houses away) used to be an air traffic controller at Manchester Airport. He had two massive passions - fishing and beer (the second one always bothered me a bit given the job). He sold up and moved away to a flat, above a pub, next to a large river!! :D

Good luck with the new path!

Exactly what I was thinking

On the bright side, at least that tosser in Florida got talked out of (no doubt by the FBI) his Hitler impersonation with the book burning

Very best of luck with your new career :D
