I downloaded it a while ago and used it for a while. It works okay - the conversations are really clear provided you both have half decent headsets.

I don't use it anymore though but I'll probably start to use it again once I move abroad at the end on this month.

DON'T talk to me about Skype.
That's the project I'm managing at work.

Making Skype available on a mobile phone.

So anything you want to know about it.......

We are now using it between our units at work and it's working a treat.
Got one of these Polycom conference style ones - very good.
Got the spuds set up at home and they love it. Doubles up as an intercom if I can't be arsed to walk up the stairs :D

I've just downloaded Skype onto my new laptop but sat here with no contacts to add as it appears not the kind of info that's out in the public domain (maybe for good reason). Not sure if any FS have this or even whether it's any good but if you want to hook up, feel free to PM me an address etc.

I do need to get a microphone it appears - so will sort that tomorrow hopefully

We've used Skype for over a year to keep in touch with our daughter in New Zealand. Saves us a fortune in phone bills and it even allows us to see her from time to time if she manages to get on a PC over there. Even if we have to call her on her mobile, it's less than half the cost of calling her directly. Definitely well worth it.

Skype's been genius this year for us. Their technology has improved visibly over the year too. You do need a reasonably powerful processor though, my 5 year old laptop struggled.
