We were sitting at breakfast this morning when CRACK! 1/4 of our 15m walnut tree fell on to the terrace outside the kitchen.
Amazingly it only killed one chair, one solar powered light and a flower pot.
So an interesting day of cross-training - lugging/cutting/de-leafing/burning huge volumes of tree.
Timber!

Wow! Sounds like a lucky escape.
Had a college friend who had a narrow escape from death when a large tree fell on their house and crushed half of his bedroom during the 1987 'Michael Fish - don't worry, it's not a hurricane' storm.
Amazing how much damage a tree can do when it comes down...
