Meterboard Challenge Icons

I will monitor this thread for when people think that Challenge Icons are missing.

When you ask, I would be really grateful if you could say "please" (that means a lot) - and even better if you could make a small donation or send a small gift to encourage me. It makes a huge difference! You will be added to the "Friends of Free Spirits Web Site 2016" group for this year. I rarely row now that I have discovered road cycling so this website is not as high on my priorities as it used to be.

Hi Thomas

Can you add a Summer Solstice icon please? I was going to do a HM today but bailed after just over 5k, having done a hard HM last Friday. So I got back on and did a slowish 17k to complete the challenge.

Thanks
Paul

It was already there but I had guessed at 21st for the Solstice. Good you contacted me because the update is not working for some reason.

Hi Thomas

Just wondering if you are planning to include an icon for completing the Olympic Challenge.

Sorry, been on holiday for a month in USA where the Olympics appeared to have only one team!

I never plan for any icons, but will endeavour to sort this out for you.

I think this is done now.

Hi Thomas

Now that the Dog Days challenge has finished, will you be including an icon for those who completed the challenge?

Thanks
Paul

This is now done.

You could save me a bit of fiddling around if you included a link to the honour board page ;)

Also, if you tell me at the start of the challenge, then I can have it update during the challenge.

I am hoping to start rowing more regularly on 1st September, but am annoyingly injured (bunion!) so that may be put back.

Thanks Thomas. Will do for future reference.

Sorry to hear about your troubles - very annoying and painful ailment - but good to hear you're hoping to get back on the erg before long.

I have added "Fall Challenge Participant" and also resurrected 'Forum Follower' which shows people who put C2 ID in their forum profile AND monitor the meterboard. If you want to see a list of people who have the Forum Follower achievement you can follow this secret link.

I have added today the Holiday Challenge icons Image and also updated the forum software to the latest version. I type this sitting with my foot raised recovering from my sesamoidectomy.

Hi Thomas, I'm wondering if you could please add an icon for the sceleton crew challenge?

Had a look, it is proving tricky.

I am confused, I got it all working in the end, and for each rower there is an entry in the database for the skeleton row, but they are not appearing in the main table. I am rather confused by this but can't look any more tonight.

LATER: actually it is not adding the database despite recognising people have done the challenge. Dodgy code I guess.

EVEN LATER: Fixed it - the code was fine, but they had changed the results table I trawl. I miscounted the columns...

Thank you Thomas for organising the icons again - they are always a fun addition. :D I love my virtual ' dancing dog ' - these days, it's the nearest I shall ever get to having a real one.

Hope the cycling is going well.

Jill :)

Thanks Thomas for all the efforts. I know how frustrating it can be when you think something should work and it doesn't.

I will set up the Fall Challenge icon. There is a minor bug in the code I want to fix first.

EDIT - Bug fixed and challenge icon now up and running.

Apologies, I completely missed the April Fool challenge. This is now up and running on the Meterboards.

I have no idea why this year's and last year's FS icons are appearing. The code to handle them is really quite complex. I'll have a dig at some point.
