Creating an account for my Niece

Where should the web site go - what should we do? Who has the time between rows?

Creating an account for my Niece

Post by Jarflax »

So I am encouraging my niece to start rowing and wanted to bring her into the team because I think it would help her motivation to see her meters on the board among other people, but I cannot create a profile for her using my email address (since it is already associated with my account). Is there any way around this other than creating a throw away email?

If the meterboard is the only interest of/for her, there's no need to create an account at Free Sprits forum.

Just create an account for her own at log.concept2.com and add Free Spirits as team.

My wife and son both use the erg from time to time, usually because I've asked them to do the CTC. I record their meters on the Concept 2 logbook and signed them both up as members of Free Spirits. I also sign them up for the various team challenges that arise from time to time. I use the same password for all of us.

As Paul says, the meterboard lifts its data from the Concept 2 logbook so you just need to create a profile on there (remembering to add Free Spirits as your affiliation is the bit most forget to do)

...and welcome to your niece :D

Thank you! Hopefully she will catch some competitive spirit seeing herself climb the list.

Everyone is correct that for the meterboard you need not be on the forum.

To answer your original question you would need to create a throw away ID - the email address has to be unique.
