Meterboard 2 - bugs and feature requests

Where should the web site go - what should we do? Who has the time between rows?

I could change the URL now but it would cause all sorts of craziness in the table. Let's hold on until next season.

This season is almost done. I‘m fine with a change together with the start of the new season.
Athletes row, others just play games

I should have said in my original post that I didn't expect anyone to alter the table for my benefit - if any one feels strongly about Bike Erg meters appearing I shall withdraw. At the moment my rowing meters for the season are 2369594 while Bike Erg Meters now total 68529. Added together the grand total is 2438123 which is today's meters appearing on the Board. In other words Michael Murtha and Plummy should both be above me so apologies to both of them. I shall up-date these numbers as the season ends.

Hi Richard
Thanks for the fair sportsmanship!
I think however you should leave it as is for the season. After all you are not the only one having bikeerg meters on the board.
For next season it will get fixed by the url that Thomas found. Everyone can check that one to see their rowing rank for the current season.
Best regards
Tako

Many thanks for the message Tako.

However it still tweaks my conscience (or OCD - you should see my spreadsheet!!) Final metres on the board for the season totalled 2,570,965 but from this 163,073 Bike Erg metres should be deducted making the correct total 2,407,892. That means apologies are due to Ralf Achenbach, Michael Lam, Plummy (and I did notice the exact 2,500,000 !!!) and Michael Murtha.

Onward to the new season.

If I send you the HTML file for the last year final standings you could change your position and I'll post that? :fswink:

There seems to be something wrong with my numbers. I uploaded my results for the current season on May 6th to my concept2 log. The sum is 84750. But on the meterboard it shows values on the 5th and 6th and neither one of the values is correct nor the sum.

I thought the problem would vanish once no April days would be shown anymore. But it persists.

The data is based on this page:

Not sure what had happened, but the metres match for you I think. The daily metres will disappear eventually, so in a week it would look right.

Could it be, that from this season on only rowing shows up on the board? The last years my SkiErg meters were also added. That would make up for the difference.

I am seeing it too. No idea why.

17:12 BST - update page not working either
17:14 BST - the host seems very slow - lets leave it for 30 minutes as it might be their end
17:20 BST - definitely something odd going on - I can't open the mb pages to edit on my PC, but can through the web interface. Confusing.
17:42 BST - "Notice: There is a routing problem that affects the connectivity to our servers in the CenturyLink datacenter. We have escalated the matter to our upstream provider and their engineers are working on it. "
So it looks like patience might be the best option. I will check back later.

Hi Thomas - could you take a look at the meterboard, there's something odd going on with the icons at the end of the row (mostly HM related - ish).

Looks like I got one image too many. The sun ️ I hoped to earn tomorrow, but already got it today. Could it be based on last years results?

I appear on the meterboard and meters are updating correctly each day but when I click on my name instead of loading my page I get the following error message in the browser:

"Warning: require_once(mb2-mysql.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/freespir/www/www/meterboard2/freespirit.php on line 7
Fatal error: require_once(): Failed opening required 'mb2-mysql.php' (include_path='.:/usr/local/php56/lib/php') in /home/freespir/www/www/meterboard2/freespirit.php on line 7"

I've tried it on Firefox and Google Chrome with the same outcome so I'm hoping it's something in the database that you can fix.
[I'm currently at 115th having just done a 13,012 meter row today.]
Thanks
I cannot recreate this at the moment. Is it still manifesting?

As for the Sun icon - it now appears to be working. Please could people check either way? I am looking in to why it may not have worked...

Later: 10/10 to Tako who worked out it was looking at last year's table!!
I have deleted all the rows that were incorrectly added and they should appear correctly in the next few hours.

Hi Thomas,
I am new to the team, so I apologize if I don't know how everything works yet. Should the skeleton icon have appeared automatically once I completed the challenge and uploaded to Concept 2 log? I finished the challenge earlier today and my meters match your team link, but the icon has not appeared on the meter board. Full name is Janet lawton. Thanks so much!

It is there now, Thomas. Took several hours or you fixed it, but either way all is good!
