In recent days, every time I visit the website I have to log in afresh.
This is despite ticking the box that says to keep me logged in.
Is is my machine(s) or a more general issue?

All I can say is that I don't have that same problem. I'm automatically logged in on both PC and tablet.

I don't have that issue. I suspect it is your machine/browser (which browser are you using?)

Re: Not logging in?
I don't have the problem on my iPad or home PC, but I do have it if I log on at work.

Re: Not logging in?
You aren't using 'private browsing' by any chance are you? The automatic login is almost certainly handled by cookies that are stored on your computer. If you clean out your browser history, all the cookies will be deleted and you'll have to login again. (I'm sure you know that.) So perhaps a setting was changed so cookies are automatically deleted? (Private browsing does not store any data.). Can you auto-login to other sites?webberg wrote:Chrome.

Zoot, you may as well be speaking Klingon because I don't really understand any of that.
It's still happening and to my knowledge I've not changed anything or the way I access the site.
I've just accepted now that this is the way it is and a bit like the train company who try valiantly but fail most days to get me to London on time, I may be frustrated but there is nothing I can do.
I recall speaking with a client who is an engineer. He was getting very angry about a digital machine that was not (in his view) doing what it was supposed to in some very minor way, leaving the basics functioning just fine. It struck me then that my expectation is that with machines or computers, I almost always expect them to deliver less than the advertised outcome. Brings me back to South West Trains really.

Re: Not logging in?
Hmm, not sure what that might be. Firefox and Chrome are good windows alternatives - have you tried them? IE on W7 should be fine though..
Deleting all Free Spirits cookies is also a good thing to try. If unsure, just google "how to delete cookies".
