Help Rowpro hanging

Post by slwiser »

Anyone had any issues with Rowpro hanging on them randonly. I can't seem to get through an interval workout without it stopping on me lately. I have had many emails with digital rowing but nothing they have suggested has helped. Can't seem to figure this one out. About all I can do with it now is use it for logging.

Hi Steve

I had this ( or similar problem) last year. It was caused by not having enough memory (RAM). There are various checks that you can carry out to see if there is excess use that is causing your system to hang. Mine was caused by having a 17" monitor attached to the laptop. It would run okay for a while and then freeze. I stopped using the monitor and the problem went away. Apparently (and I ain't no expert) it was using too much RAM.

Hope this helps.

Since my exercise is the primary reason I have a laptop I think I am going to upgrade it to something more powerful. Thanks for the insight. My present laptop is a Dell Duo which has been a little under powered with an Atom processor and only two gigs of ram. I have ordered a 14" i7 Asus to replace this one. Should have it in, in a week or so.
