Can Connect to RowPro but not Digital Rowing
I'm trying to connect to the Session Set Up/Online section. I can connect to Oarbits (in RowPro) and open the session list and have previously used this Laptop to connect successfully.
I get the message: "RowPro is unable to connect to the Online Rowing Server. Please try again."
I used the trouble shooter, and when I click the message that says:
Can RowPro connect to http://www.digitalrowing.com?
Yes, RowPro can connect to http://www.digitalrowing.com
No, RowPro cannot connect to http://www.digitalrowing.com
I can't connect and whether I answer Yes or No, nothing happens when I click next.
There is no reaction so I can't proceed any further.
I set up a test session to ensure that I had something available for which I was registered.
Any help appreciated as Saturday 10 July is looming large and want to make sure that I have it right. I've sent an email to RowPro for help but figured someone on here might also know the answer.

Bill the server has been down since 6:00AM yesterday. I am sure the tech wizards are working on the problem.
I left a message on the RowPro "Facebook page" aswell.I am sure it will be back soon mate.

Re: Can Connect to RowPro but not Digital Rowing
There was a bit of a (vitriolic) debate about this on the UK C2 Forum last month or maybe in May. The short answer from Digital Rowing is: "No!" Mainly because of the cost of writing up the software and the time needed to service another platform. DR are a small company (maybe two or three people) who respond to troubleshooting request very quickly. That response time would be affected I guess if they had to sort two platforms.Silverback wrote:Just a quick question,

Good luck with RowPro. It's great for competions.
As an aside:
Back on the last century (1930's), the Royal Marines did a tour of duty at Buckingham Palace for ceremonial duties. The King at the time (Edward VII I think), put up a plaque after the duty was complete. It said " Taller men I have seen, but smarter men never!". The Guards covered it up with a sentry box. (Nuff said.)

I agree with Bill. It is great for competitions, but it is also great for finding virtual training partners. Even if you had to buy a basic Windows laptop it would be worth it. Online rowing is very fun. says the obvious addictbillwright wrote:Silverback

I've no idea what the problem is so I've sent off an email to digital rowing.
I've been using rowpro for a few years now but not the online racing side of things. Maybe they disabled my online account after several months with no online use?
