Re: The Hour of Power 1100 GMT Sunday
Colin was awsome I set off pulling 1:59/2:00 and he sat right with me. after about 10 min something went wrong and he was 20m behind he did not panic and slowly caught back up. after 20 min my hr was already over 160 so I knew it was not a good day so I tried to hold the pace as long as possible kept it under 2:00 av for 10k but my hr was over 168 by then so i had to ease back Colin just kept on going thought of stopping at that point but managed to keep going 2:05s brought my hr back down to 162 and the last 20min was a nightmare every time I tried to lift the pace my hr just skyrocketed saw 170 twice in the last 15 min a last desperate attempt at breaking 15k saw me pulling 1:44s but it was not to be
the end result
14988m so near yet so far but there is no way I could have gone any quicker
Colin was a dot in the distance by then respect m8 ...but you did miss my pb

Re: The Hour of Power 1100 GMT Sunday
Thanks guys Started off then saw my FS sweat band on the floor it should have been on my head after thinking can I do this without while hanging on to Denis I put it on after about 10 mins as sweat was already in my eyes The row was hard made harder by Mr. Judd but Im a stubborn old git and managed to hang in there a little longer. When Denis slowed that brought a big smile to my face(Sorry Denis but you know what its like) and that made me speed up pulling 1:57s for a bit also causing my HR to go through the roof but I wanted 20m+ lead just in case he was playing with me knowing how hard that 20m was to pull back. At this point Richard started to lose water/ground to me hopefully he was coming back to pace me (good man) where as the other Colin who was always around 15 m behind me ground me into the river bed despite a 1:46 finishing sprint he was playing with me (not a nice man) That was some row by Alexander 1:44 WOW

Great row Colin =D>
And a very enjoyable account too. That Alex is phenominal I think that he told me that he's 2.08m tall, which has got to help a bit
Congratulations on the PB.
