Re: Saturday 5k, 13:00 GMT
I'm really up for a Rowpro today - but just don't fancy the 5k. Had a rest day yesterday and keep thinking I need to do a 95% 2k (for mental confidence as much as anything)- or a 30 minutes (as I still think I should be able to better my SB) - or a Pete Plan waterfall (as I told Daffy I'd do one if she did one), or an hour of power, or a.......... (see my dilemma - not a clue what to do )

No worries. You have lots of good choices for 2 of your prefered 4 list as there are 60', 30', and 60' sessions at 16:00/16:00/20:00 GMT that have 4/5/5 registrants respectively. There is also a 2k at 14:00 but it only has an eval user and they often don't show... If I were you I would take advantage of one of the RP sessions and do the waterfall some other time. I would do the 30' session myself except it clashes with the family schedule today.plummy wrote:I'm really up for a Rowpro today - but just don't fancy the 5k. I suspect you are yet another MBTI type P. We need more data points on our list on the corresponding thread:

Re: Saturday 5k, 13:00 GMT
A new SB by quite a bit of 18:47.0 @ 1:52.7 R31 Thanks for the assist Colin, I would have backed off for sure at the 1/2 way point had I not told you my target pace beforehand and knew you were watching from about 2500m to 4500m I did not think I was going to be able to hold on, but was determined to make my body prove it. Was completely shattered at the end...so much so that I managed to get a nasty cramp during the cd row , and had to back off all the way to 2:30 splits, and now a couple hours later I have the characteristic erg cough. BTW, my warmup was a 2x2k rest 10' with increasing intensity power 10's every 300m. Nonathlon improved from 7368 to 7397m with the 5k now my strongest event at 858.
The splits for the 5k are below
0250m 1:53.0 R35
0500m 1:52.6 R34

Bill,
that looks like a perfectly paced session! Very even splits and not much left in the end, I think you just hit the perfect pacing! =D>
