I'm half tempted (although I will be trailing in your wake). I quite enjoyed my 10k the other day and I'm having a rest day today so will be fresher!!
19.30 - will that be GMT?

Doh, promised myself I'd get back to the PP tomorrow but looks like you need a whipping boy. I'll be going at around 2:03 I think.
I see Mr Mudge has joined the fray also.

Re: RowPro 10k - 19:30 Wednesday
Going to be busy on the water. I hope my RowPro holds together - look out for me falling backwards rapidly occasionally (I will see if my firmware needs updating if I get the time before the row). I am, er, "looking forward to it"
And yes, GMT (current time in UK).
Thomas
P.S. Wolfie, you are going to TAN MY HIDE!!!
If I manage 1:56 I will be happy, sub 39 mins and I will be delirious.

Re: RowPro 10k - 19:30 Wednesday
Damn and blast, I have to pull out I'm afraid.
Mrs W has been struck down with a stomach bug of the throwing up kind this afternoon and I'm on kids taxi duty now
For the record Thomas I was planning to pace you along not just blast away. You know, just to see if we could get you to suffer just a little
Have a good one.

Re: RowPro 10k - 19:30 Wednesday
Yeah, I thought you might deliver pain that way. But RowPro froze me out again, twice, so I am going to do a solo effort tomorrow. I felt very good, so was a bit miffed. I am now in touch with digitalrowing...

You weren't alone Thomas, we lost a few en route. 13 starters and 7 finishers.
I was sure I didn't have a sub 40 in me and by the time I realised I might, it was too late Finished with a 40:03.2
Ah well, PB as a LW and second fastest ever, so can't be all bad. Good fun as always.

Re: RowPro 10k - 19:30 Wednesday
A lot of people ended up getting washed out of that session. I was planning to pace you at 1:56 but at 3k in it was clear that I would not make it to the end if I held that pace...ended up averaging a 1:59.1, and that only thanks to Dave pushing me to the end I hope tonight's performance is just remnants of that bug that I have been trying to shake...

39:24.1 for me - bloody hard though! Would have quit (or at least slowed down if I wasn't in a race)
Happy though - that's my fastest 10k for ages

I'm a bit bemused as you were ahead of me and pulling away towards the end (about 116m I vaguely remember through the sweat filled eyes). If I averaged 1:58.2 shouldn't you have been on lower splits than this?

Re: RowPro 10k - 19:30 Wednesday
On oarbits it does not show you as finishing so I'm not sure what you saw on your screen...maybe when you lose connection your computer projects the finish of the other participants based on their last known pace in which case it is possible it projected me finishing before you base on my overly optimistic start..... In any even, I confirm my time was 39:41.5 with average of 1:59.1, so you solidly beat me if you averaged 1:58.2.plummy wrote:Hi Bill, badocter wrote:A lot of people ended up getting washed out of that session. Re: RowPro 10k - 19:30 Wednesday
Just did my 10k. (Have been exchanging friendly emails with Pam at C2 re my problems...)
Pleased (very pleased) with a 38:14.0 (1:54.7) with 160hr in the first half and pretty good negative splits in the second half.
Also new HRMax of 198! Getting younger every day...

Thomas,
with such an amazing improvement over such a short space of time you must be a natural.
