An exciting 24 hours...we got hacked last night. I have restored what I can but we are WIDE OPEN for another attack. I will try and get to the bottom of it after work today.
Anyone with experience of this please get in touch at thomaswp[a]freespiritsrowing.com. It seemed every file that started "index" was overwritten. I have no idea how or the access point.
We were hacked and what happened next...

Update...
So, Mike Channin and I have been discussing this offline. We are still in the 30 day trial of this web host and it looks like they have not really come up trumps.
Mike has space on another server with lots more bandwidth. Any money that comes in will be used to pay for this and the hosting charges for the domain. After this debacle I am going to take the domain in to my own control rather than leave it to them. This will cost a few quid.
It is all a bit confused at the moment so I will not say much more, but it is not unlikely that the site will have a temporary home somemwhere in the near future, domain to be announced...

Just to tidy this thread up:
Just to tidy this thread up:
1) the hack was of the service provider, NOT our software - all their sites were affected, but they had not backed up ours!
2) so we moved the site to a new web host, courtesy of Mike Channin;
3) and thanks for the donations which are in the bank pending the hosting/bandwidth costs for the next year.
