Re: Lifetime Millionaires Club
Sorry Plummy - Richard is usually such a techno - whizz - very good at sorting out the computer glitches of various neighbours. He's just said that his reputation in that area has now taken a battering.
If it's okay I'll start again
Hello Plummy Today, I've reached 4,000,000 metres. May I have a star please.

Thank you Plummy.

I must point out that the above message was submitted voluntarily by Richard and had absolutely nothing to do with ' somebody ' holding a shotgun against his head and saying, " Type "Jill wrote:Er - this is the fault of Mr - major c**k up on the formatting front but 4,000,000 metres have been reached by Mrs. U. Thank you Barbara - I've missed your smile.
I don't always recognise myself these days, so perhaps it's a case of ' Will the real Jill Underwood stand up please ' .
Now, the 5 Million Metre question. Will you reach yours before I reach mine So no pressure there then Jill.

Re: Lifetime Millionaires Club
OK, OK... you're telling me my break is over and I need to get off my duff? I'm nervous about the rolling pin so, it might happen. I did find an erg at a 24 Hr fitness center while traveling last week, and paid $10 to row 6000 meters. Pricey! It was good except for 2 chatty sorts who didn't seem to notice I was in the middle of a workout, LOL.
Keep up the fabulous pink stars, lady!!
And congrats to the other milestone passers -- wonderful work!

Never thought I'd see the day - and never thought I would actually aim to hit the round number for Plummy (that kind of thing usually passes me by!).

Sounds as if you're in the early stages of OCDitis - don't try to fight it, as there's no known cure In desperation, I joined ' Noughts Anonymous ' and look what happened to me.daffyducky wrote: never thought I would actually aim to hit the round number for Plummy

Fantabulous indeed. Who'd a thunk it all those years ago when you said "I'd like to talk to you about your rowing machine" whilst sitting in my kitchen.

Re: Lifetime Millionaires Club
I think C2 have now taken over the million meter awards for UK and Irish ergers and brought them into line with the U.S. and Canada. Which means Jane will get an enameled pin plus a long sleeve t-shirt for completing 5,000,000 metres.Stan wrote:Congratulations Jane.

David Carrière's Logbook
Lifetime Meters: 1,000,000m
Hello to everyone, This is my first time on this or any forum so I hope that I am doing this properly. I would just like to ask for a star for my first million meters on your scoreboard. I started rowing for the first time on March 24 2015 on my own erg after seeing my daughter on her new erg. Both of us were hoping to be able to row a million meters in the first year. When checking out the different affiliations we chose the Free Spirits because of the good mix of ages, nationalities and this great website. The main reason I reached my goal a bit sooner was because of your meterboard. It gives one the incentive to row 5 min. longer or 1000 meters more to try to move up or to maintain one's position.Because of this club I have surpassed my expectations and would like to thank and to congratulate the organizers and fellow members of this great group.
Hoping to do a few more meters.
David Carriere
