I'm delighted to report that I've clocked up another million metres:

Richard Underwood's Logbook
Lifetime Meters: 18,001,582m

Prompted by my wife I have been paying more attention to what others have been achieving and this has motivated me to increase my own daily average so - thanks to all Free Spirits.

Regards and thanks

Richard Underwood

Rockin' Richard eh? Well I do remember (yawn) when rock was young. The first rock band I saw live was Cream but I was naive enough to stand at the front so I could hear properly ....... I am pleasantly surprised that my hearing is as good as it is considering the abuse I gave it! Many thanks for all the kind messages and everyone keep on erging.

Thanks and regards

Sorry to disappoint you Paul and Plummy but I spotted that one straight away. Too embarrassed to admit that I knew the lyrics of a song ( ' Goodbye English Rose ' :~c - should have been sent to the Tower for that one ) by Reginald Dwight.  What's your excuse :?: [-X

I assumed it was a deliberate reference by Richard. His early stuff was good. His later stuff embarrassingly mawkish (the Lion King, that re-write of Candle in the Wind, etc.). I went to an Elton John concert in Dublin a few years ago and kept waiting for him to sing Crocodile Rock. When he didn't sing it, I felt like asking for my money back (except I couldn't, as it was a free ticket).

He did a concert tour a few years before that with Billy Joel. Now, that's one I would have liked to see. They sang a duet on Piano Man, which happens to be my juhachiban.

Hi Plummy

I notice that JD Liddil has just posted a copy of his 35MM certificate on Facebook. However, he is only appearing at 9MM on the lifetime millionaires list. Is there a case for updating him, or does he need to specifically request an update on this thread?

I can do it, no problem. Usually I wait for a specific notification but this one does stick out like the proverbial sore thumb and doesn't deserve to go unrecognised (even if it bumps me down a place - grrr)
