You swap IDs and enter them in the "Profile" page.

It means that we have not been as efficient as you! I (17345) have added you and you should now be able to see my log...johnglynn wrote:My ID is 156839

Current training partners:
ID#91179 pending
ID#140904 pending
ID#17345 pending

what does this mean ?
Thanks webberg, just looking at yours there.webberg wrote:John, I have added you to my profile list and you should now be able to see my log (please don't laugh).
I am still struggling with what "strapless" is... I found this on the old forumjohnglynn wrote:The # in front of my comments indicate a strapless row.
but I can't imagine how else you row. What is a "strapped" row?Strapless is about technique - getting the arms/back forward before the body. If you don't, you fall off. Low SPM is about pausing before returning for the next catch, really slowing down and allowing the boat to run. So you pull really hard, but relax on the return - hard to do - but when you are let free at any SPM, you'll sprint off like a cannon!
A "strapped" row would be a standard row with your feet strapped in.thomaswp wrote:I am still struggling with what "strapless" is... Ah haaaaaaa. Now I understand. We used to do that as an exercise back in the dark ages when I rowed on water. I do it on the ergo for a laugh sometimes but never for a serious row.johnglynn wrote:Strapless is not having your feet strapped in with the foot straps
Thanks Neil, On my times bear in mind I'm 26yrs old, 6'6" and quite heavily build. So I've all the advantages and should be going fast.Gooner Neil wrote:John.
Just added your ID, great times think you're being hard on yourself with the comments. 6.34 for 2k. Truly awesome. You'd be in the bar after showering and giving an interview to radio 5 live by the time I finish. Am building up the courage to do a 2k tomoro. Haven't tried it since 2004 as it scares me.
Thanks. I run another web site (long story) and changed to this forum there at Easter. So that was easy. Less than an hour from idea to installation. The web site was more interesting. A bit of research and then that too was easy to get running. I just hope we don't get hacked!PSims wrote:Thomas - You are doing a grand job sorting out all of our IT Web queries.
Do you want a job - the people we have at work don't do things in months that you achieve in minutes - such is the motivation of Free Spirits!
Not sure , if negative no.Gooner Neil wrote: 26 and 6'06", have you kicked sand in my face?
Not this year, but I was thinking of going over if I ever got down to around 6:00 sort of pace. Maybe next year (if I hit around 6:15)Gooner Neil wrote: Lastly will we tempt you across the pond for the BIRC?
