2 million up

Post by Thomas W-P »

Before joining Free Spirits, I was scheduled to break 2 million metres some time in November. But in the middle of breaking my half marathon PB today I crossed the 2 million metre mark.

Thanks to everyone for the motivation. I'll be sending off for my certificate and T-shirt!

Well done

Hi Thomas,

Well done on the 2M - passed it recently myself.

Sorry to spoil the motivation, but I understand Concept 2 UK have changed their million metres club - there is no longer a 2M award.
They have now made it 1M, 3M, 5M.

So I think you have another 1M to do before you send off - but when you do get to 3M you get a medal.

Correct me if I am wrong guys - cos if I am, I want a 2M award as well!

3 Million

Pqul

You're absolutely right, the next medal after 1 million is indeed 3 million

Just keep on rowing, we'll get there eventually.

Rock on, Dude! That is an awesome achievement! If I manage 2M meters in my entire lifetime I'd be surprised! Well done.

Just another million then. Confirmation here. In the USA you get something for every million!

Mind you at this rate that will be within the year.

Well done Thomas - guess I can't catch you up with a head start like that - may you have lots of books to Mark in the next academic year !

Getting there

Post by PSims »

Thomas - you need a ticker profile like Stan and I now! Set it to 3M.

This week you have beaten 50k - which was my initial target per week for the whole of this year! So that's 20 weeks to 3Million.

Looks like a great Christmas present?

I have looked at the ticker, but it seems a big faff to keep it up to date. I already log my metres on C2 and my own spreadsheet - but isn't the only way to update the ticker to go on to their site then update your profile? If it is easier let me know...

" million

Well finally passed the 2 million barrier yesterday morning, a large portion of thanks must go to Free Spirits especially JLemon as I've been chasing him like mad the last few weeks and 2 million just seemed to happen.

Keep on going guys this is a fab team.

Well done. I did that a week ago but it was a bit of an anti-climax to find that I had to go another million for my prize in the UK :(
