November ctc - one minute, standing start

Post by Grobi »

Hi everyone,

team Diamonds have announced the November ctc:

''The Super Sixties Super 60''
As many metres as you can row in one minute. No restrictions apart from a standing start.

This one is a straight forward ctc for a change, no room for misunderstanding the rules 😃
Athletes row, others just play games

Kevin, I‘d recommend current 1 min pace

No, seriously, I think 1 min is basically flat out?
You might raise the footplate one hole and up the dragfactor for a better result.

Well done Mike
I took an early shot at this yesterday - 341m
Who knew a minute could last so long?

Keep looking over your shoulder, Mat.... ;-)

I know what you mean though; it is amazing how time seems to slow down...

Very impressive Claudius esp at 190 drag. =D> I had a go at this today. Normal drag is 120 so tried 145. End result below:
321metres/1 .33.4 ( or 5 depending on CTC or Monitor!! ).
Faded slightly in last 15secs think I could have gone faster at slightly lower drag as legs were tiring but lungs could have handled a few more spm!!!

Well done team.
I'm still nursing a very sore back (oddly golf is ok but anything more physical a chore) but couldn't bare missing anther month for the sake of a miserly minute.
So I'm squeezed in boat 3 for now.
