Hey everyone,
I just wanted to stop by to show that even though I've moved to other pastures, you guys will always be my "Spirit" animal when it comes to rowing. I have a YouTube channel where I row some workouts for people to do at the same time, and the one I did this week I threw on my Free Spirits hoodie, as a way to try to keep my videos "Team agnostic". After all, I broke a British (and then World) Record as a FS, and I was still FS when I did my 6:36 PB too - Maybe I should have stayed!!!
Anyway, if you want to see my warmup in a FS hoodie, the video is here: https://youtu.be/It3-zvom6Ys
I hope you're all welll and rowing strong.
Stay safe, and be well.
John

Good to hear from you John, and good to hear you still have the hoodie
I've been making a lot of use of your Rowalong videos and enjoy them hugely. You're a natural!
...and yes you should have stayed a Free Spirit

Hahah. Sometimes I think you’re right. A great bunch where I am, but I’ve never been as good as when I was Free.
And that’s awesome that you’ve seen my videos!! I’m really pleased you like them.

Hi John,
good to hear from you and to know you are still plugging away on the machine (well, a bit more than that!) and continuing to be at the forefront of the technical training innovations.

I'm doing that programme at the moment (well I am dipping in and out of it anyway). It is excellent (apart from John's jokes and maths).

Haha. My jokes are awesome!!! ;/)
I’m so pleased some of you have found this. I really think that my time here is why I have this desire to try to help others and do this kind of thing for free.
It’d be nice if I had the viewer numbers of the other guys. But I think my viewers are more special.
John.

Re: Gone but not forgotten
I did the Prologue 5k workout today 40 min@20. Lot's of good technique tips. The tip for the arms was great. It increased my power right away. Lately I kept hurting my shoulder on the low stroke rate stuff and now I know how to fix it. #5k plan
