Planned to take it steady just to see what it's like but quite early started pushing a bit.

Happy with that considering I was just meant to be trying it out.

Great results so far! =D> ...huge discipline for this special challenge...rate restriction...hope I find the time for a unexciting go end of the month!

hope so Claudius :-)

Slightly disappointing for me, but not unexpected after 6 weeks dieting, little real training, and a sore back.

Wolfie, still a good effort, but I donb't think you put it in, now don't be bashful!

After 2 weeks without rowing struggled to manage 2422m, 11m less than the first and 49m less than the single one I did earlier this month as back not great and fitness somewhat lacking.

If one of our good ladies could manage a time that would float a fourth boat, with a man and a woman for a fifth.

Hope your back gets better soon Iain.

A 2nd go and a nice improvement given 3 weeks of solid work between attempts. The slowest for each attempt was

2209- 2:15.8
2261 - 2:12.8

Well it's been 163 days since I last sat on a concept 2 rowing machine

I've done quite a lot of running while the gym was closed so still fairly fit but just don't have the strength I used to have but actually very happy with the result to go sub 2 min pace

That's a good result given you have been away from the erg Felton =D>

Most of my Concept 2 efforts of late have been on the BikeErg and to a lesser extent the SkiErg but rowing will always be near and dear to my heart.
Figured I'd drop in on the last day of the month/season and have a crack at the CTC. Hope all my fellow Free Spirits are doing well on and off the erg! :D

Not having been on the erg for 5 weeks, I decided to do this month's CTC as a warm up for the IRL. No great expectations - just concentrated on keeping the SR at 20. Did 2158 for the first interval, 2171 for the second. Puts me down near the bottom of the rankings for this month, but I wasn't expecting anything different.

OK
Second ever rate limited try. Haven't rowed at all since my previous attempt as I picked up a bit of an injury and got busy at work (physical job) so was giving it a rest.
Had fish & chips for dinner so had to leave it 'till late to let it settle.

Didn't want to try too hard and antagonise the injury so....

10:00.0 2,516m 1:59.2 206 1010 20 156
r: 5:00 17m

Sorry Liefcat ;-)
