I've only got 2 x MHR session to go this month 😎 1 x reserved for a 1609 πŸ™ˆπŸ™ˆ for the indoor league and the other is meant to be a 6k free rate. So your safe from me having another go 🀣 But Jan is bound to be tempted by another 30 metres push πŸ‘πŸ™‚

Back to my 3 x 6k 90 sec rec 18R 75% HR. My fun sessions of the month so far 😱

Despite all those factors, that's a great row Claudius! =D> =D>

Close enough for me to aim for, but far enough away for me to have little confidence of getting there

Hello Everyone,

Nice to see lots of great results and friendly competition. I'm really sorry for the wonky entry in this month's CTC and have asked Citroen to delete it. So it doesn't mess up your boats I have temporarily changed it to 1m

Max

Update: All sorted now!

Great rows this month from lots of people! Very strong lightweight result from Claudius, but also from Petr, Peter and Iain in boat 4 who threatened to leave me stranded on shore.
Then on came Jill and Clare, and we now have 6 boats floating =D> =D>
I'm ashamed to admit that for various excuses ("warmup felt too hard" [-X ) there won't be a second attempt from me this month. See how things go with next month's sprinty intervals.

Thank you Jan. :D

I must admit, that I wasn’t looking forward to giving it a try and as usual, it ended up being one of my spur of the moment attempts.

It didn’t help, having only ever done one other 30 minutes before - 5449m on 10.6.2018. When I saw that, I thought … no chance kid!

Judge: β€œ Prisoner in the dock, you have been charged with the serious crime of No Training. [-X How do you plead? Guilty or not guilty?

Me: Guilty your Honour.

Well done to you and Sheena - great going. :) A grand effort indeed by everyone. =D> =D>

Thanks for the nudge Kevin - figured I'd best step up to the plate.

Decided that the only way to do this would be to commit from the start knowing that I'd either get through it (painfully) or crash and burn horribly.

So I started off for the first 6' at a pace slightly faster that the overall average for the last effort  and for the first two splits I tried to refrain from thinking! On the third I reminded myself that after this it was in the bag and there was no way I was giving up.
During the penultimate split, the 8100m kept flashing up briefly on the predicted result section of the screen to tempt me onwards, and for the final split I simply kept counting until I reached 150!!

So, pleased to top 8100m, and an improvement of over 350m through the month
Now where did I put that wine? :D

Great rowing indeed Mat, and super that Jennifer took part as well. Seven boats afloat is very decent
