I managed 1104 which should be reasonable when adjusted. Better than expected without going bananas.

I give up - exactly like last year I have gone round in circles for 30 minutes trying to do the most simple thing (click on a new team name) and I'm in an endless loop of it telling me that my name/e-mail/password has been used before so use a new one etc etc etc...

Oh dear. Have you really given up? Have you tried a password reset, he says at risk of being amazingly annoying.plummy wrote: ↑Mon Sep 28, 2020 12:28 pm I give up - exactly like last year I have gone round in circles for 30 minutes trying to do the most simple thing (click on a new team name) and I'm in an endless loop of it telling me that my name/e-mail/password has been used before so use a new one etc etc etc...

Re: Indoor Rowers League 20/21
With six scores entered we are now hovering around 7/8th in the competition at the moment. Good going given we didn't have a team until yesterday
The cut off for the remaining entries is noon (GMT) on Thursday.

Just had a go at this - as this is my first vaguely sprinty session for 6 months I was pretty cautious.

I also had a go today. No great expectations, but was hoping to stay sub 2:05 pace. Just about managed this with 985m @ 2:01.8 pace.

I'd say the last person who joined the team will probably be automatically excluded. But if that's not the case, I'm happy to drop out as my scores are not likely to be very exciting.

Re: Indoor Rowers League 20/21
The organisers have asked us to drop a rower to get down to 10. Paul G, I'm afraid you were last to join (sorry, I didn't think we would be oversubscribed), but see Paul V's message. Can you agree between you who will drop out? It needs to happen before the 1st.paulgould wrote: ↑Mon Sep 28, 2020 5:45 pm Just had a go at this - as this is my first vaguely sprinty session for 6 months I was pretty cautious.

Re: Indoor Rowers League 20/21
Paul, given your ongoing back problems that's a good idea anyway. I don't think you will do yourself a favour with the additional pressure (mentally and physically) of yet another challenge.Paul Victory wrote: ↑Mon Sep 28, 2020 9:35 pm I'd say the last person who joined the team will probably be automatically excluded. I am more than happy to stand down from the team - As Mr V made the commitment to the team first I think he should take that last spot - I am just taking part cos it's there.(I think someone said that before me )
I will remove my affiliation now(done)

Re: Indoor Rowers League 20/21
Hi Paul
I see that you’ve already stood down from the team. I was only entering to make up the numbers and cannot commit to doing the challenge every month, so it doesn’t make sense for you to drop out instead of me.
Having said this, your withdrawal leaves us with only 7 entries this month and I think it would be better for me to wait and see whether one of the 3 remaining members (Jon Taylor, Claudius and Kevin Horne) enters a score before I actually drop out.

Re: Indoor Rowers League 20/21
Are you seeing a different view to me (genuine question)? I entered a distance yesterday and I can see it when i look at the scores. The blanks when I look at the team are Claudius, Louise and Kevin.Paul Victory wrote: ↑Tue Sep 29, 2020 8:50 am Having said this, your withdrawal leaves us with only 7 entries this month and I think it would be better for me to wait and see whether one of the 3 remaining members (Jon Taylor, Claudius and Kevin Horne) enters a score before I actually drop out.

Paul - don't drop out even if there are 8 other scores this month - it won't always be the case which is why there are 10 in the team.Paul Victory wrote: ↑Tue Sep 29, 2020 8:50 amHi Paul

TBH, I am not bothered about the team element to the competition - I am just doing to gauge my progress(if there is any!!)

Second go using "I didn't die at 1065m" as a marker and managed an improvement to 1087m - which is actually a 2 year SB. Adds a few more points to the team score

Well done Dave! I managed just 1m more, albeit ten minutes after my third ctc attempt. And I‘m not that much heavier than you any more these days (78.5 kg after tonight‘s erging).
