Overall 8.26.2

Well done Linzi as well for the 3rd boat floated, 2 more people including a lady and we will have a 4th! Congratulations all who have contributed so far on what is a tough challenge.

Great results again in the last few days. Perhaps, tomorrow, one last try before going on vacation. Kind of all or nothing perhaps to regain a seat in Boat 1. Don't think it will work and if it might no doubt only temporarily but it might be some kind of fun (?) to give it a shot.

First post here 😱 First ctc too !! Haven't done anything 2k related for a very long time. But that's what the ctc is about I guess ?
Hopefully I'll create a space somewhere in my row schedule before the end of the month to try again but bring a fresh pair of legs with me πŸ‘

If I could work out how to put a monitor shot I would have πŸ™ˆπŸ™ˆ

528 1:44.5
1056 1:47.7
1584 1:46.9
2112 1:45.5

7:28.7 @ 1:46.2

Eased off too much in the 2nd & 3rd quarters more out of a fear of a painful death in the 4th πŸ˜‚
Good luck to everyone who is having another crack at it before the end of the month πŸ˜ŽπŸ‘

Having done practically no erging this month, I decided it was time to have a go at this month’s challenge. It was a slow decline into death, but I managed to finish the challenge in 8:55.6. Pretty depressing, but why worry?

Well my first ctc for several years! Truly dreadful time but just about broke 10 minutes and was pulling 1:46s in the last few metres. Based it on the first row on my new machine about a month ago which 10 mins for 2000m exactly. This time I went through 2k in 9:35, so its improving. Onwards and upwards - on an endorphin high at the moment. Well done all who took part.

A great effort as ever Claudius. As ever, you have taken your rightful place as the lightweight male in FS I. ^O^ ^O^

Well done Stan. They all count, and I hear these Concept2s can be a bit stiff until you break them in, so it's all going to get easier from here :fswink:

Well done Cap'n. Even attempting this CTC so soon after restarting is a great achievement. If it wasn't for my several attempts at the FS CTC before where I did 4 7' rows, I am not sure I would have got through this one.

All we need now is a lady to float boat 5, that would be a great achievement for one of the toughest CTCs I can remember.

Thanks Kevin. Plenty time this evening if you fancy another go!

Well that was a lot harder than I hoped. Legs heavy from the start but managed 7:23.3 @1.44.9. Ave pace moved under 1:45 with about 10 strokes to go

Had a last second try, and it wasn't bad considering I haven't done a distance like this as hard as this in over a year.
Two lightweights in boat I!

Cheers,
