Entered a 4 minutes score. Didn't feel too well the last couple of days, but wanted to fill a seat in whatever boat available. Seem to feel a bit better this morning so perhaps I'll have another go at it. For now it's 1102 meters.

34 meters more today. For a long time I was heading for something like 1120, right in between last years' score and yesterday's, but had something left for the finish. Ended up with 1136m, seven less then last year. Perhaps after a less careful start? Have to work tomorrow so I don't know whether there will be time for a last attempt.

Good Evening all. I have just checked the c2 site to see how many entries we have this week. Unfortunately only 13 entries this time. The fastest 8 are in boat A and the remainder are in boat B, but boats B,C, and D will not float. I think the deadline is past for doing it but in case there are any last minute entries I will check tomorrow and make any last minute adjustments. Well done to everyone who attempted this one. I seem to remember it as being a singularly unpleasant experience!

Thank you Stan!

Looks like the Boat A is slowly but surely moving up on the table :-)
Not sure whether that is because others are failing to collect/set their scores or because we should have been much higher up if the start would have been less bumpy.
Anyway, fun to see new and known names in the boat. Hopefully we can float more and faster boats next year!

ok, as promised I checked this evening to take into account any last minute entries. There was 1 additional entry from Tim Symington, and as his distance was in the top 8 I added him to boat A, which displaced Peter Sobic. Boat B remains 2 short and C and D have 0 entries. The event now moves on to the 2k. Again I will fill boats on Sunday and makes any adjustments next Monday. Have a great week everyone.

ok just checked our 2k entries. 15 entries so boat A has floated but boat B needs 1 more entry. I will check in tomorrow and see if anybody put in a less minute attempt.

Thank you Stan for captaining the spring eight series for FS. It was all on short notice and the start wasn‘t easy, but I think everyone who took part enjoyed it.

Yes, I agree it was fun and next year we should be able to end up higher on the table as some of the rounds indicate.

Especially fun to see some names in a boat that are neither in forum, Meterboard nor C2CTC ;-) (or at least not on all 3)
