Re: Indoor Rowers League 2019/2020
Did that yesterday! Changed my password and finally I can see it. That said the link I clicked was "Team Competition Rankings" where I was looking for "8on8" which I'm sure is what it used to be. Anyhoo - seems to be ok for now - cheers m'dears..

Hi, I'm in (seem to have selected the correct team, and can also see Plummy )
A few months ago I'd have been delighted with 1159m, but the fact I'm a bit disappointed is a good sign.

Re: Indoor Rowers League 2019/2020
Very strong four minutes Steve, I'd be more than happy with that! I had a second go last night and could improve from 1127m to 1139m, but it seems my score is still the lowest in the team.
But team Free Spirits did well in the opning round of this season's Indoor Rowers League, we finished in 7th position:
Well done team! Let's see what we can do about February's mile.

Re: Indoor Rowers League 2019/2020
Had my first go at the february mile yesterday and I‘m quite happy with the result:
The time of 5:46.5 is 1.2 seconds slower than last year but as a first shot I‘m happy with that.

Re: Indoor Rowers League 2019/2020
Well done to everyone who had an early go because that was quite hard! 5:29.3 @1:42.3 pace (adjusted time of 5:10.3). Pleased to break 5:30 and average pace was 1.1 faster than last year .

Well done Max, great effort and also everybody else entering a score so far.
This kind of went to plan but as I haven't done any maximal time trials recently it was a bit of a leap in the dark but pretty happy with the result

Rather slower than last year & a bit annoyed at a loss of focus in the middle section. It'll have to do.

Re: Indoor Rowers League 2019/2020
I've added a score.
Given recent form, I wanted to go 1:45 most of the way and speed up.
But .. 1100 in I completely blew up and limped home.
I'm blaming the very mild chest cold, ho hum

Re: Indoor Rowers League 2019/2020
For „limping home“ your score is still very competitve Steve!
I had a last minute second try tonight. Plan was to start around last time‘s pace of 1:47.6 and see if I could better that in the second half of the row. This is how it went:
First half went pretty much to plan but things got ugly in the second half. I had h/d demons dancing around my erg on multiple occasions, nevertheless managed to chase them away and finish exactly three seconds quicker than three weeks ago (and 1,8 seconds quicker than last year ).

1st attempt at the 6344m - went pretty much to plan but slowed down a touch in the middle resulting in a time 6 seconds slower than last year. I will definitely have another go at this and will hopefully dip under 23 minutes

Great effort and I like the 23 minute target idea, That's a pace of 1:48.7 and my 6k PB is 1:48.8. But it will have to wait until after SRIC .

Re: Indoor Rowers League 2019/2020
Great row Felton, well below 23 minutes next time I'd say
Max, good luck at SRIC
I had my first go at this last night. Based on my recent 10k (39:46) and mile (5:43.5) the pace predictor promised a 24:35 (1:56.2). So my plan was to start around 1:58 pace for the first half, see how it feels and probably open the hurt box towards the end if I feel like it. This is how it went:
Seems the pace predictor was spot on But I can tell you it was hard work towards the end (if you look at the end heart rate ). Although this is 17 seconds slower than last year I'm still pretty happy with it. I couldn't have gone any quicker.

Re: Indoor Rowers League 2019/2020
Muddled my way through to finishing one last night although I had to back off a couple of times after 4k in. A rather average 25:35.7 ( 2:01.0 pace). Given my best 6k this season was at 2:00 pace there may be a fraction more in the tank)

I'm meeting Andrea at her gym on the 30th so maybe we can set for 6344m and duel it out and push each other to a few seconds each off our best times so far.
