Hi everyone, it's been a long time since I posted anything on the forum :? I will do my best to add my score to this month IRL but can't promise cos all Leeds City Council Leisure Centres will be close tonight till further notice :( If I come with idea where else I can row I will definitely do it πŸ‘

It's great to see we got eight scores in for the March 10k, especially under the given circumstances! We are still in 6th position which is good to see, but of course staying healthy these days is far more important.

In April we'll have the final stage of the IRL, a simple 500m. Good luck everyone and like I said, stay safe!

Hi all.
A reminder that this month is also the 500m quick challenge.

Well reminded Wolfie - I thought the IRL had finished!! Glad I did a 500m on Saturday for the April VIII Challenge and by default killed two birds with one stone.

Having not rowed for 10 days due to a tummy bug I've left myself 4 days for the IRL, CTC and 2 meta-nonathlon distances (5k and 10k) that I'd love to turn green. IRL up first and my aim was sub 1:35 so I have to be pleased with 1:34.0. Adjusted that's 1:27.4 which matches Dave.

Four busy days ahead Max! Looking forward to seeing that all green Meta-Nonathlon.

Sounds like a very ambitious and unhealthy plan to me. Be careful to not overdo it! Though I cannot see how to avoid it when you plan to green your 5k and 10k and do the tough C2CTC.
The good thing is that for the C2CTC you only need to finish it to help floating a boat (that is if more ladies row it as well before the end of the month). So I would save that one for the last day.
Good luck and stay healthy!

Thanks Tako. My plan is to do the CTC today at around the pace I need for the 5k meta-nonathlon, so 1:48.3. Hopefully it will get me used to the rating and power needed. So today should be relatively straightforward. If it is a struggle then there is no way I will attempt the 5k.

Well, as you managed to row Morten out of Boat II you cannot have been that sick.
Thanks for pushing me back to boat III ....

I think Morten was just warming up, still plenty of time for him to gain his normal place in boat I. Sorry about Boat II, I did feel slightly guilty when I noticed because boat III isn't yet floated! Fingers crossed.

Today is the last day of the April challenge (and therefore of the whole Indoor Rowers League 2019/2020). We are still two results short for the 500m this month. May I encourage those who haven't done yet to submit a score? :fswink:

Well done to all who took part - especially in the last few weeks when it might have been difficult for some to access a machine. See you all next time around!!
