Final go at this with target of sub 17. Actually HD'd for 1 sec with 300m to go in last rep before realising how stupid that would be.Image

Well done all.
A late one for me for a change. Still a few days though Max :-)
I had a target of sub 1:50, with a possible 1:49 as top goal.
1800 - 1:49.2/28 cruised at <1:50 which felt hard
1200 - 1:49.2/28 cruised again, but felt much better
1800 - 1:50.3/28 set off with first 800 in mind, then finish off. The first 800 seemed ages! Was still at 1:49, but wheels fell off. Managed to keep going slightly slower until 300 left, then instead of seeing it off, I stopped!! Poor. Finally paddled in to put the score in, and just crept in from of Max. Who I know is waiting for another new target.

After being away and struggling to reconnect with the erg I had to post something for September CTC. I've been close behind Clare on a number of these so I set a target to beat her score even if it meant trouble. Target achieved. I do find achieving so much easier mentally with a solid target. Also no erg, gym or running yesterday (Friday) for various reasons so I'm counting Friday as the weekly rest day.

1800 8:09.0 2:15.8
1200 5:24.8 2:15.3
1800 8:02.7 2:14.0

overall 21:36.6 2:15.0

Puts me currently in boat 3 (at least for now) with esteemed company :D

Thank you for the tough targets and the warnings about the 3rd interval. It went much better than expected with a time of 16:54.1 @1:45.6 pace. Quick start then found a rhythm at 1:46 pace and stuck with that plus a minor sprint at the end of the last interval.

Well, gave it a go. Managed 1st two intervals in 1:45.1 but didn't have the staying power in the last rep. Will resume battle in October

I am finally free of a left scapular soreness that has plagued me this month, so I tried a last day lunchtime special. After my 13 k bike ride and 14 k erg in the morning this was the best I could do: 16:43.6 @ 1:44.5. Splits later. Guy is safe once more.

Cheers,
Colin

See Mikel, if you'd posted a score we'd have floated another boat instead of having 4 folks sat waiting for one more

Also Mikel, you would have finally joined the Club 50 (see the CTC participation thread). You're on 49 CTCs since 2015. Is there no pride in that?
