Goodbye KiwiCan.

Our good friend and Free Spirits teammate Dave McOnie died yesterday in Ottawa after bravely battling cancer for the last two years.

That's sad news indeed! I'm grateful that I had the chance to get to know him and meet him in Boston and Madchester. My condolences to his family!

Some families have so much tragedy - :-( With the passing of Anne Yates this week (who I think lost her husband and children) and now Dave who lost his wife Gaye suddenly a few years ago, it just doesn't seem fair.

Like Peter, I met Dave at Boston and Madchester and he was a joy to know, a genuinely nice guy. Too many leaving us too soon...

Another sad loss

Hazel & I had the pleasure of meeting Dave and Gaye once only at Boston in 2010. They were a delightful couple and very pleasant company.
We are very sad to hear of Dave's passing.

Paying a rare visit to the website to see how everyone is getting on. I'm very sad to hear that news about Dave. I met him a few years ago at Madchester and he was just such a lovely person. My condolences to his family and friends.
