Well done to the finishers so far 👍

I couldn't find any occasion where I'd attempted a minute sprint before, so this was a step into the unknown. DF at 160 and stumbled to 319m. This is a tough ctc /IRL month for me at least.

No need to apologize at all Claudius [-X , and especially with a score like that! :P

Team Guy.
338 / 1:28.7
horrible, just horrible
won't be doing that again

Just the 3rd entry for the team, so lets see some more. It's only a (horrible) minute :-)

That's a very strong minute there Steve, well done!

My entry is a very slow 316m / 1:34.9, albeit done after an extended warm up of 15k  I hadn't planned on doing the minute yesterday but after a longer recovery row I thought what the heck and went for it. Horrible experience throughout, but at least it's a PB for me (mostly because I very rarely do this kind of sprinty stuff).

Oooo - you mean I'm ahead of Peter (1m) and only 2m behind Ian. I think I'm beginning to like sprints as it doesn't make me feel so slow ;-)

A very poor 311 from me I'm afraid. Sprints are just not my thing. They scare me after previous back issues, and I have been focused on cycling not rowing over the last few weeks after getting a fancy new toy over Christmas (Tacx Neo and Zwift). But I wanted to get a score in for Team Guy rather than not post anything at all #-o

Please don't try again [-o<

Gave it a try and accomplished exactly the same score as Steve. Was a bit reluctant because of my back, don't know whether I'll give it another try. I think a small improvement should be possible but I have to get rid of that pain first I think. Absolutely necessary to keep my technique ok, that's perhaps a little advantage, but it may also slow me down just a little.

Well, three meters more today. 341 now, this time exactly the same as Tako, but ofcourse due to him being too young to seriously row, his adjusted distance is way better then mine...

After a failed attempt on the CTC (didn't think I could start too fast there, but after a while I thought I couldn't keep that pace) forced myself to have a shot at this one. turned out to be a good warming up I think.
Made it to 351 meters, which is exactly the same as last year. Don't think there's much room for improvement left now. Perhaps a meter in the last ten seconds? Felt it slipping as bit there.

Well done Fred!! Hope your back is fine after the hard work. Mine tells me not to have another go and rather cruise for the VTC ;-)
And as you wrote I am too young anyway :-) :-)

Thanks Tako, my back is much better already. I think it was the consequence of an exercise I started some time ago, part of a set. Deadlift with straigjt legs. Indeed not very sensible to try to do.
Due to a testweek of my kids (one of them is using the study to study, of all things, and that’s where my C2 is located) and a weekend to Antwerp I’m out of my regular schedule again. Perhaps next week...

Clarion call to Team Philip members. You have 10 days left to complete the 1 minute dash and close the gap between us and Team Guy. I’m counting on you :!:

Had to answer Cap'n Philip's clarion call. :) :) :)
2nd and probably last attempt.
Put DF up to 225 from 205 and got a 20m improvement, up to 345m.
I can't believe that I used to enjoy sprinting

Andrea has popped in a score with a 306m - adjusted to 381m - very nice. Well done Andrea!

As promised. 340m which is a PB by 5m :D . Unfortunately I had a #-o moment. Towards the end I glanced at the screen and saw 10 and thought 10m to go, yes1 more stroke. Almost immediately I realised it was 10s but the damage was done. I'd slowed down and lost rhythm for the last 6 strokes. Imagine my joy when I input my score and saw Tako on 341m

Well as Fred pointed out earlier, I am too young to row this one, hence my adaptive score would have been better anyway ;-)

But having said that, I can feel your pain Image

Well done Team Philip, looks like we are ahead of Team Guy this month, although they still have c6 point lead overall.
