Re: Meta-nonathlon 2018-2019
I missed the cut for today, but my I snuck another 20m on my 30 minute distance this morning (before seeing your CTC exploits Dave) so it's looking quite healthy (temporarily....).
Thanks for the update as ever Rodger.

Re: Meta-nonathlon 2018-2019
I gained a point with my 60 minutes SB last night (14782m from 14626m) - and dropped a place - gaah! Well done Jan though...
Still, that's 900 points which was my target and 4 in the green now. Hopefully I can get another 3 but I'm not sure I'll catch Mr B unless I pull a miracle score out of the bag somewhere...

Re: Meta-nonathlon 2018-2019
Thanks Tako and David, the 60mins was an aborted PB attempt - it was just too hot last Sunday
My goal is to get everything nice and green (apart from the FM which I didn't do last year) and to get at least 910 points.
Also thanks to Rodger for doing this, it's a great way to track your progress!

Re: Meta-nonathlon 2018-2019
Crikey! I knew the HM would help but hadn't realised by how much. It was a pretty horrid row to be honest, a real case of "I've started so I'll finish". I stuck with it because (a) I am stubborn and (b) I needed the distance for Dog Days.MaxMacLaren1 wrote: βWed Aug 15, 2018 9:44 am JonT, Great HM and has sent you rocketing up the leaderboard
In reality I think this is more about a poor time last year than a good one this year. I am miles off my PB of a few years back. But I'll take the points
I'm far too close to a sea of green not to go back and try to pick off the other events.
Put in a good HM Max and you will top the table

I nailed the 30 minutes today, making a big improvement so hopefully that red will be gone next time this runs.MaxMacLaren1 wrote: βWed Aug 15, 2018 9:44 am JonT, Great HM and has sent you rocketing up the leaderboard

Re: Meta-nonathlon 2018-2019
On the back of this month's CTC I realised my 1K Nonathlon time was way off the pace. I put that right yesterday aiming for a 1:55 pace, improving on the 1:58 that I had previously. I felt good throughout and ended up with 1:49.8 . Apart from refereeing a Rugby match I had a complete weekend away from exercise and this type of rest often gives me my best results.
Next year is going to be a tough one on the Meta-nonathlon front.
Many thanks for keeping this going Rodger. I for one find it very motivating.

Re: Meta-nonathlon 2018-2019
Thanks folks. More of a reflection of a poor year last year than anything. I agree, I need to enjoy the heady heights of the top of the table ahead of a plummet next year.
I'm out of action at the moment with a back issue at the moment, so it looks like I peaked just in time. Not sure if the back was caused by a flat-out IRL effort, hauling bags and bags of gravel around the garden or being floored "accidentally" by a rugby player when I was refereeing on Saturday. Anyway, I am off the erg at the moment, but I may venture out on the mountain bike tomorrow, and I am refereeing again Saturday. We'll see how the back gets on.

Re: Meta-nonathlon 2018-2019
Dank je wel Rodger!
This table really motivates far more than the nonathlon on its own, as I have no chance on getting high up in their table, but in the meta version I can nicely compete against myself as well. Looks like I am getting closer to all green, but still lacking four PBs on the longer distances.
