World Rowing Virtual Indoor Sprints 2018
Having seen this 1k race on the Concept2 website a few weeks ago I made a note to give it a try.
https://log.concept2.com/challenges/indoor-sprints
Not sure of the pacing but will use February's CTC as a guide, so about 3-4 seconds faster than 2k pace. I'm hoping it won't be too painful.
On the basis of 'the more the merrier' the last day for entry is tomorrow, good luck!

Well that was hard. Fast start but nothing left at the end so no sprint finish. Time 3.19.7 at pace of 1.39.8 so pacing was right. Currently 21st in 50-59 hwt although I doubt that will last long

Well done and thanks for the reminder. I hadn't planned to do this today, but saw your post and thought 'why not'.MaxMacLaren1 wrote: ↑Sat Mar 10, 2018 3:15 pm Well that was hard. Managed 3:35.3, which is a 2.8 seconds improvement in my SB. Currently 15th in the 60-69 MHWT category.

Great result Paul and an impressive chunk to take off your SB.

Had an early marker but felt for another try and saw my PB improved by 0.3s to 3:15.6

Re: World Rowing Virtual Indoor Sprints 2018
Well done Tako.
I decided to have another go at this today at a higher DF (155), but it didn't work out, so yesterday's 3:35.3 will have to do. I've done 10k+ for the last 8 days in a row, so I think a rest day is called for in the not too distant future.

Thanks!!
Max, I have to admit that I just focused on my PB and recorded my time expecting it was slower than yours as you always are far ahead of me in the C2CTC. It was first later that I saw that I was faster

Thanks to you all for your appreciative comments.
Great limerick, Paul.
This result just came out of the blue
Surprising for me as for you
Now I’ll press on apace
And enjoy the next race
In the meantime, thanks guys, toodle-oo
