A lot of great efforts and good participation all ready this month. =D>
I am finding this ctc fun and challenging in a number of ways. After 3 aborted attempt earlier this month (going out too fast) finally finished one at pretty close to a max effort.

1. 15 min 3885m 1:55.8
2. 15 min 3887m

Probably will try this again before the end of March but not sure if I can go much faster.

Thanks for putting in a score for the team Ralf. This one was well below your capabilities. Are you going to have another go?

Very strong second effort Joe! Are you aiming for 3900m in your next attempt (if you are having one)?

Thanks peter. I will most likely give it another go now that I have a better idea of how I should be pacing it. 3900+ might as well go for!

Not been "feeling the love" for the erg for a couple of weeks but decided at the last second to have another go at this. Managed a slight improvement from 3801m last time to 3817m this time. That was the second rep. my first one being 3828m.

I actually had to back off a couple of times in the second rep but knew I was in the ball park to get over 3801 as long as I could pick up the pace dramatically for the last minute or so. This one really hurt.

Well done plummy. =D> =D> =D> You were just about in reach for me (potentially), but you've just made it an awful lot harder!

Grobi, I'm struggling itm, still suffering from a cold (and the other stuff you know)
Will do more for sure, did a IRL sub 2:00 pace for the 10k on Saturday.
But I don't expect to see SBs for a while ;)

Thanks for putting in an IRL and C2CTC score Ralf!
Hope you will be back to “normal” soon!
Gute Besserung!

Well done for the 2nd go and health improvement Ralf. I was waiting for Paul V for my motivation, but no need :-)
Thanks go to you .
4th effort for me, improved to 3835 / 1:57.3
(a 3s/500 improvement from the start of the month. But same as the legend Joe Keeting, so a bit of perspective :D)

Nice work fellow Free Spirits! [-o<

Took a few weeks off to let the back heal. Fortunately I was able to ride my Assault Bike so I don't think I lost any overall fitness but returning to the rower after any extended period off is always tough. Amazing how long 15 minutes feels!

Figure I'll do one of these every other day or so for the rest of the month to see what I can accomplish. Hoping to get back to about 4k per interval.

Sunday the 18th: 3867 - 24spm - 1:56.3
Tuesday the 20th: 3935 - 26spm - 1:54.3

Third attempt HURT.
1. 3789
2. 3892
3. 3939
A couple more goes before the month is over but 4000+ is looking very painful - but at least I'm back into a floating boat :)

Nice going, both of you =D>
You can target my 3865m next - you are not far away.

Too good for me I think, yesterdays effort was pretty tough. But I'll give it a go whilst you are warming your self (hopefully) in Alvor.

Thanks folks. I surprised myself yesterday afternoon by being able to sustain a 1:56/1:57 pace. I actually thought I was over cooking it on the first interval and eased off a bit in the final few minutes. Then I managed 3865 in the second, so I guess your distance is a possibility Paul.

I had way too much to drink last night, so I don't think I'll be doing anything too strenuous today, but I'll probably have another go after I get home next week.

Thought I'd overcooked #1 but turned out I had loads left
Current 5k pace + 2.5s and that was plenty !

Just finished my second attempt. I was aiming for 3950, and with 3961 in the first rep and 3971in the second succeeded quite well.

Good luck to everyone in the last week of this challenge!!

Well done Fred!

I tried again yesterday using boat 1 as target.
Had 4096 in first round and was on route half way in the second but collapsed completely. Probably to little food and a too tough target!

We need a few ladies to float some more boats. Only three entries so far from the fairer sex. Jennifer has been struggling with a wrist injury, but will try to do a gentle 2 x 15 minutes before month end, but may have to stop if her wrist is giving her problems. But there are plenty of other female members out there and only a week to go!
