Finally got around to logging a distance - sorry Jan - in between the march madness rows. Decided to live with a straight forward 2.01 ish average, which meant 3716m.
Might be a little more to eek out, but nothing that will threaten boat 2.

That you Fred and well done to everyone and especially our dear ladies.
Oh ye of little faith, Mr Vxxx - we can't all be ' Eager Beavers ' like you enthusiastic and fit young men.Paul Victory wrote: ↑Sat Mar 24, 2018 6:50 pm We need a few ladies to float some more boats. Only three entries so far from the fairer sex. Jennifer has been struggling with a wrist injury, but will try to do a gentle 2 x 15 minutes before month end, but may have to stop if her wrist is giving her problems. But there are plenty of other female members out there and only a week to go!
2742/2744 - for once, a bit chuffed with myself - might even have another attempt ... Then again, I might not.

Thank you Jill. And thank you Barbara too.
I never doubted that you ladies would rise to the challenge. I was just issuing a gentle reminder.
Heading home from Alvor tomorrow and Jennifer has promised to give it a go after we get home (subject to her sore wrist holding up). That would float a 6th boat for us and, even more importantly , ensure that I'm not left ashore as my seat in boat 5 could be in peril.

Lots of great scores on the board!
3rd try at this.
1. 3867
2. 3935
3. 3981
Given my recent lack of rowing it's turned out to be a good way to get back in to the swing of things. Overall I'm definitely in better shape than I've been in a long time but when it comes to rowing fitness there is definitely no substitute for time in the saddle. In addition my willingness to peak in the pain cave seems to have abandoned me. May give it one more shot and try to get 4k.

Just back from Alvor and hoping to have another go at this month's challenge in the next few minutes. In the meantime, the lovely Jennifer has done her bit for the team and we now have 6 boats floating!

Some cracking results this month - well done all.
Managed to sneak a few extra metres today. Can't help feeling the amount of extra effort required to drop my split by 1 second per 500m compared to last week should have been worth a greater increase in metres but there's no arguing with the maths !!

Well done Guy, great result and looking like top dog this month. I'm focusing on finishing my Q1 training so no plans for another attempt.

Unfortunately life has got in the way of training recently and haven't got on the erg for nearly a month and half
Didn't really have a target, just thought I'd hop on and hope for the best. It actually went better than I thought it would but feels like a missed opportunity as this is really a perfect CTC for me

4th (and last!) attempt. Improved each time and got over 4k so no complaints.

Felton, Sorry to hear that and I echo Tako's comment. Also I should add that I'd love to match your 2k time this year!

Hope you´ll be back in shape this month Felton ! Congrats to all finishers Had a 3rd go on Thursday, after 2weeks suffering from a common cold, Goal was 4040, first intervall according to the plan, filled a paper cup with a sportsdrink, grabbed it in the rest time, it smashed in my hands with all the liquid on the floor...and forget the start to the 2nd intervall first time this happened...so i missed to stay in boat 2...
