Another pre holiday weigh in before I head off to Alvor this afternoon. I'll be there for two weeks this time around and I'll be very surprised if I manage to lose weight over the two weeks, particularly as I'm currently at my lowest weight in years. Hopefully, I'll be able to remain in the green zone (sub 95 kg).  [-o<

Had a rubbish month exercise and eating wise so was expecting the scales to be a bit rude this morning!!
My erg has been pretty much unusable this past month at anything quicker than 2:10 pace so not done much good work there.
Last week I was in Milan where the food was rather good and plentiful so I availed myself of the opportunity to gorge myself.

Bottom line is a 2.5 kg increase to 105.0 kg - it is a new erg season now and I am going to set myself a 12kg loss target for April 30 next year.

As I anticipated, two weeks of eating out every night and consuming far too much alcohol  #-o has resulted in a significant weight gain. Thankfully, I'm still in the green zone, but next week is going to be another challenge as I'm heading over to London for 6 days on Tuesday.

Lots more eating and drinking while I was in London (and I got to see Spurs win two matches at Wembley), but thankfully, no more damage done.

Another small loss since my last weigh in. Still almost 2kg over my lowest recorded weight, but still in the green zone. Next weigh in will be in two weeks after I get back from Alvor.

Love hearing about y’allsseses progress in weight loss. Will post later in the year. My start January 20th is 132.5 kg. So far, 9kg down with two interventions that did not yet receive the benefits of cutting down beer and wine.
Accelerated program started this weekend.

Progress being made but much slower. Have now started to commute to work by bike (16 miles x 2 per day) so the erging will be substantially reduced but still hoping to do c20k a week. Zero booze and minimal cake since 31/12/17 - objective is to get to a base sustainable weight (c92kg), continue exercising and then resume my vices ... in moderation :D

Boris, how exactly does that "accelerated program" look like?

Jonny, you've lost more than 13 percent of bodyweight since the beginning of the year, that's very imressive! =D> Keep up the good work!

This thread is inspiring!

Peter: once there are results of any kind I will post what the entire plan consisted of - regardless of how it turns out. My twitter has some hints.

2018 weight loss thread

Congratulations Claudius!!

What is your secret? Change in diet? Change in activity?

Are these kilo’s fresh ones you collected last year or did you manage to get rid of old old “energy storage”. Unfortunately my experience tells me that one can empty the latter one but it just waits like a sponge to suck it all in again as soon one eats a bit more than needed or normal, as the body goes into energy save until the storage is full again.

Anyway congrats on a steady effort! Hope for you it is sustainable!!

PS forgot to mention that I hope that you manage 3kg more, so you will not compete with me for the HWT spots in the C2CTC boats ;-)

Thanks Tako,

Had a bit more time for erging in my lunch hour...so until now no diet...but it becomes more and more difficult...now 11% Bodyfat...healthy condition...was a lightweight in my youth with 60kg...then Muscle Training up to 80 in 2 years...hold that for a long time...with kids ans nightshifts up to 90kg in 2015...and now at least a try back to lightweight...

The angel on one shoulder is willing you on, patting your back and hoping you achieve your LWT objective.

The devil on the other shoulder has a big piece of chocolate cake with your name on it 😂

Nice to be able to update my signature, as started out 2018 at 112.6kg.
I'll still contribute to the 2019 weight loss thread, if there is one, as I'd like to get a smidge under 90kg.
