Thank you Erik. :)

Like you, I was aware as to which occasion our young Mr Plumb was alluding to. Thought as he is a member of the Forum Police, I had better not give him anymore cheek ... For now that is. :fswink:

Yes Jan it was. =D> Obviously fuelled with some left- over Christmas oliebollen. :fswink:

Would love to see Peter's pacing plan for me though, over that distance.  :fswink:
And I would love to provide you with a pacing plan for every distance you desire, just not the 1000k :D I‘d like you to have fun with my pacing plan and I‘m pretty sure with those 1000k you wouldn‘t!

But this month‘s ctc is complete fun :^o , just have a go and thank you in advance :fswink:

Haven't been rowing much so really didn't know what to expect. Used Boat 2 as a target and it wasn't exactly easy getting a seat but I did it...for now.

Nice work by all! =D> This was a tough one. Hard 1k's are an evil distance and after you do those 250's they seem even longer and more evil.

I was quite satisfied with my first attempt this month but I could not resist to another go when I was challenged by Jon. It was a good test before the nationals on Saturday.

Many thanks to Jill for putting in an entry today and floating boat VI. I had my second attempt at the challenge and improved by almost 20 seconds to 12:58.8 and only just over 4 seconds off a seat in boat V. Splits were as follows:

Split Time Pace Rating Heart Rate
1000 3:46.2 1:53.1 34 158
250 0:50.7 1:41.4 39 162
1000 3:45.5 1:52.7 34 171
250 0:51.0 1:42.0 40 169
1000 3:45.4 1:52.7 34 175

3500 12:58.8 1:51.3 34 167

Er...ahem...er - Mr Bee...er...

Had a rush of blood to the head and decided after 260 miles of driving and a long long day to have another go at this as I thought I might squeeze a few more seconds off the time given a fair wind etc.
1000 - 3:43.7 ( 1:51.8 )
250 - 0:51.5 ( 1:43.0 )
1000 - 3:46.1 ( 1:50.6 )
250 - 0:51.5 ( 1:43.0 )
1000 - 3:39.2 ( 1:49.6 )

12:47.2 @ 33spm average - about 13s off my last time :D

If I had a hat on, I'd tip it in your direction. Superb.

As for the timing... Image
