A comparison with my last try:
Was
1:43.5
4:28.8
0:44.5

Now
1:38.5
4:26.8
0:47.8

As you can see the last 250mtr were quite tough.
Good luck to the other rowers this last weekend of october.

Very nice effort, Fred - this is a really tough challenge, but an interesting one - not sure yet what the best approach is, but am leaning towards max effort on the 1250m, and hanging on for 45 or so seconds of pain

I had my first and only attempt yesterday. Managed 7:37.1, which left me ashore in boat VI. So I persuaded the lovely Jennifer to do the challenge this morning. She has a sore wrist, so she took it easy, but managed to complete the challenge in 10:04.0, so we now have 6 boats floating.

Nice work by all those that gave this a go. =D>

I have not been at all in the mood to row lately so I waited until the last day to get this done. Was dreading the 1250 but it didn't end up being quite as bad as I had feared although that minute rest went by really quickly!

Hello,

i did my 2nd and last go yesterday...and i am happy with the result. I tried to be a bit slower in the first intervall to have more power in the middle one- and it was the right decision. Thank you Paul- you are a good persuader =D> - if i could be more persuasive there would be some times more boates a float---i try to work on that issue :)

Well done every one ^O^ ...the last 2 intervalls were really painfully  ...although the last one were only 250m

So tomorrow we could row 4x750r3min...

Had my fourth and obviously last go today with the aim of rowing each rep, faster than last time. After three failed attempts at the IRL mile in the last seven days I was especially dreading the 1250m (I guess like most of us). Plan was to simply be quicker in each rep than last time,no matter by how little. This is how it went:

_500 / 1:44.4 (1:44.6) / 32
1250 / 1:46.1 (1:46.4) / 31
_250 / 1:36.6 (1:36.8 ) / 41

Total: 6:58.0 (6:59.1)

Small improvement by just 1.1 seconds but nevertheless very happy with it. The middle rep was almost full on, the last one definetely was! Now moving on to November‘s ctc which is of a similar nature, so all the work everybody put in into this month‘s challenge should pay off.

Credit to you for sticking with a last ditch effort and only a minimal improvement on the cards. =D> =D>
