It might be helpful if there was a separate thread devoted to posting only the distances for the mega-relay event. If needed, we could have a separate thread for commentary/pictures etc.

Also, how soon after each leg do you need the results? My 1 hr row will probably be the first hour of a 90-120 minute work out and I would rather wait until I was all done and post my distance then.

Is there a way that John Lemon could extract that data from our C2 logs if we enter it as a stand only 60 minute piece?

My hand is doing better so I should be good to go all 3 evenings.

Happy rowing everyone!

Rita - good to see you back rowing.
Likewise for me it will take a bit of time to get from the gym to home and log my metres, although on each of the 3 nights I will just be doing the 1 hour sessions.

I was also going to aim for similar. I never do good tmies in the morning. The garage is always to bloody cold, and I'm never up to full steam. Aim for one of the days however is to get a PB for the hour though.

Should we carry on, on this thread or start a new one for just the metres (and running total) ????

I'm assuming Mike C will start a new thread for results, and make it sticky (as he's a forum moderator), but if he doesn't, then I will make a new post after my row at 10pm. I'd suggest each person add something along the lines of the following:

Hours complete: nn
Metres this hour: nn,nnn m
Running total: nnn,nnn m
(Av. metres per hour: nn,nnn m)

It's a simple matter then to add one to hours complete, put your metres in, add these to the previous person's running total, and if you can be bothered to get the calculator out, do the running total divided by hours complete so we can see whether we're ahead of 13.889 km/h or not.

Oh, and probably best if people DON'T attach their signatures when doing these posts, or it'll be more sigs than results!

Panic.

My son has manged to pull a muscle in my shoulder/neck by kicking when I was trying to lift him onto shoulders.
I can't turn my head independant of shoulders without pain, I certainly can't erg.

I'm due to do 11-midnight tonight.

Can anyone fill in?

If this is desperate I can fill in but as I'm about to go to a leaving/Christmas do I can't promise that the distance will be great.

Will do Janet's lot but can only realistically do 12.5k. If there is scope with the bigger boys compensating for me I'll do it.

Sold to the man with the sticking out shoulder!

Anything would be great. Please stop if it hurts.

Distance is not that relevant as MaxDev will do a world record on the anchor leg anyway.

Neil you are a star

& it's further than I would have gone in the hour anyway.

Oscar has done this to me before - it fades after a couple of days - so I may be able to pick up if a gap appears on Friday.

Janet, I hope your shoulder is better soon. My sons name is Oskar as well. 5 1/2, and 122cm tall. If you want to fill in - you can have one of my slots on the last day if you like.

Mike is preparing for his 21:00 slot by reading bedtime stories to my middle daughter. He promises he'll leave soon and be ready for 21:00.

I am going to lock this thread now and put up a new thread to record distances in the TRAINING AND RACING FORUM - since this is (sort of) a race. Fear not, there will be a link to that thread in this forum too.

Here is the thread for results: http://www.freespiritsrowing.com/forum/ ... .php?t=393

GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!

Have fun and don't worry about the distance...
